Un hébergement charmant sur le périphérique. Les hôtes sont faciles à vivre et efficaces, le petit déjeuner est copieux et toute la maison est meublée avec beaucoup de goût. Félicitations !

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, très tard le soir et de manière très spontanée. La maison est magnifique, la vue à couper le souffle, le petit déjeuner préparé avec amour et tout est très propre, de bon goût et chaleureux. L'hôtesse fait de cet endroit quelque chose de très spécial. Je vous le recommande vivement !

Nous avons adoré notre passage à Sauðafell Guesthouse. Tout d'abord, l'excellent accueil de nos hôtes nous a beaucoup touchés. Nous avons discuté pendant des heures, et avons découvert avec énormément d'intérêt leur mode de vie, le fonctionnement de leur ferme... etc.
La maison en elle-même est charmante, centenaire, chargée de souvenirs. On devine dans chaque objet, chaque meuble, qu'il se cache une anecdote familiale, un pan de son histoire.
On se sent bien à Sauðafell Guesthouse, qui est évidemment très bien tenue et très propre (Mention spéciale à la cuisine, qui est super bien équipée, et dans laquelle tout cuisinier dans l'âme trouvera ses marques).
Le petit déjeuner est également copieux et nourrissant.
En résumé, je recommande Sauðafell Guesthouse plus que chaleureusement.

Maison confortable, hôte sympathique. Un peu modeste pour le petit déjeuner, mais nous avons passé un bon séjour. La maison elle-même appartenait aux parents du propriétaire, ils l'ont construite dans les années 1870, maintenant c'est une maison d'hôtes. C'est agréable.

Le logement est situé au premier étage et les escaliers sont étroits, ce qui ne facilite pas le transport de grosses valises. Bien que les salles de bains soient communes, elles sont propres et disposent de beaucoup d'eau, et le petit-déjeuner est fourni, avec du pain simple et des toasts avec du fromage, du jambon et de la confiture, ainsi que du café, du lait, des yaourts et des sachets de thé. Le logement est calme et sans lumière, et la chambre est confortablement meublée.

Le logement était à couper le souffle. Nous aimerions bien acheter la maison :-). Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise dès le début. La maison est aménagée avec charme et possède, en raison de l'histoire familiale, de nombreux objets beaux et uniques. La vue avec le coucher de soleil était unique. Le petit déjeuner était suffisant et très délicieux. De plus, nous avons eu une très belle conversation avec Berglind et Finnbogi, qui nous ont beaucoup parlé de l'Islande et de la ferme. Nous ne pouvons que recommander vivement ce logement et nous y retournerions sans hésiter !

Well-renovated Icelandic house with a cozy atmosphere and attention to detail. The pleasant wall colors and great light in the room create a welcoming ambiance. The window offers a lovely view, and the simple, light breakfast, personally served by the owner, adds a personal touch.

The minimal light pollution makes it an excellent spot for catching the Northern Lights when conditions align. Unfortunately, our late arrival limited our time here, as I would loved to fully immerse myself in the experience.

We couldn't locate shower towels in the room but later found small towels in the bathroom, so we made use of them. We weren't sure if this was acceptable, but it was too late to disturb the owners.

One downside was the poor soundproofing; you could hear every step in the house.

Wunderbare Gastgeber und wunderbarer Ort. Es war die beste Heimstatt auf unserer Tour. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Man findet auch Bier und Softdrinks im Kühlschrank (gegen kleines Entgelt). Das Haus ist liebevoll gepflegt und ausgestattet. Man hat ein wenig das Gefühl, in einem Isländerhaus von vor 100 Jahren zu wohnen mit dem Komfort von heute. In der Nähe ist ein hot pool in atemberaubender Landschaft. Wir waren dort ganz allein. Die Gastgeber sind sehr offen. Das Frühstück war gut und völlig ausreichend. Wir hatten dabei eine sehr nette Unterhaltung. Wir würden gern wiederkommen.

The host Sauðafell Guesthouse took us in after we got rescued from a snowbank for that night after 10pm. We were provided immediate shelter with affordable lamb stew, along with complimentary tea, and pastries.

I want to stress that our kind host set up a full spread of breakfast including various jams, pates, and nutella with various breads including one loaf of homemade dark bread-- included in the cost of the accommodation!

All of the appliances are top notch, and the host and her husband were amicable and understanding of our situation. We are grateful we found this place as a silver lining to our misfortune.

One of the best guesthouses I stayed in the past 10 days!! It started with a welcoming check in, continued with a comfortable room and the cleanest bathroom (you couldn't even tell I shared them with 5 guests) and ended with a rich breakfast. Berglind is the house owner, she had good recommendations and lots of knowledge and stories about the area.
I booked 1 night and had such an amazing time so I extended the stay!!

absolutely perfect! we loved our stay at saudafell guesthouse - the property is well-maintained, clean and has a very charming rétro-style: just what we were expecting and what you would want to find in northern iceland. our hosts were lovely and the breakfast in the communal kitchen was great!
