One of my favorites campsites.
I stayed two nights.
I was really chasing northem lights, reviewing the forecast and such, until I found out that in this spot I could have good chances.
I was only able to see a real weak aurora, but I'm happy with that, I guess that someday I might have better luck.
Regardless, this is such a beautiful place to stay, the place in which it is located is so peaceful and fantastic.
I also got yo see those rare glitter clouds, so I think that makes up for the fact that I did not gaze a full aurora.

To pay for the showers, the machine only accepts 100 krn COINS. We arrived very late at night, after a long trip with rain and snow. We decided to stay here specifically to have a hot shower. Once we got there, there was no one. It was hard to find a small piece of paper on a window saying we should pay the on line. This was already stressful, since it was dark and raining. After payment, we received an email with the codes to use the toilets. Once we FINALLY got to the toilets, to our surprise, the showers only worked with a payment system that only accepts three coins of 100. We didn’t have change and it was 10 pm. Everything in the village was closed. We sent them an email to the ONLY contact they provide, but of course, we got ZERO reply. They should advice you BEFORE PAYMENT what are the requirements to stay there. We paid way more than in other camping places in Iceland for NOTHING. At least, install a god bless change machine or be specific beforehand. Otherwise, this is not fair at all.

Great location and warm communal room.
You have to pay for showers with COINs..so that’s not included in your campsite fee.
You also have to pay for a wifi password at the hotel reception. If these would be included in camping fee, our review would be 5 star.

Great place to stay! You can make the reservation online and then you'll get the combo for the door to the shared area. Everything was working great and we had a nice stay here. Only downside was that our camper couldn't reach the black water disposal thing because of some bushes that were in the way.
