Great location and a value for money stay. The hotel staff was absolutely friendly and helped a lot during our stay.

The hotel was just ordinary. As lot of other reviewers mentioned, the only advantage of this hotel is its location. Its just 20mins walk away from one of the tails of Vatnajokull glacier - Svínafellsjökull Glacier and this hotel is right in the ring road.
Apart from location, this hotel is more like a motel which is in dire need of renovation. Rooms are small and old and beds are very low height. It is clean at some places but also dirty in some other places. It felt more like Travelodge motels in US. There were no views from the room and the radiator was not effective enough. Since we had booked via expedia so the checkin staff was very strict about the type of room that we can have. In general, Staff was just ok.
I didn’t find any vegetarian options either in their restaurant nor at the gas station across the road.
One good thing was, we were able to see the northern lights from this hotel.
Bottomline, stay here only for its location and its presence on the ring road.

Paramos en el hotel por un corte de carretera por viento. Irima en recepción fué extremadamente amable y resolutiva, gracias a ella no dormimos en el coche!

We had a decent and comfortable stay. Probably one of the better options in the area. The gas station/grill across the street has decent dinner options for like burgers etc. not the most modern place but it’s comfortable and clean. If you’re in the area and don’t want a guesthouse quality or to pay Fosshotel prices, this is a good spot.
