Friendly staff, clean common and kitchen areas as well as nice rooms. Even the other guests were friendly. 10/10 stay :)

Ostello fantastico, a due passi dalla spiaggia nera, e la grotta con le colonne basaltiche.
Gli spazi comune sono ampi, tenuti perfettamente. La cucina spaziosa, pulita e ordinata. La sala da pranzo ampia. I salotti con i giochi di società piacevoli. Consigliato

Modern Hotel / hostel near Vik, we had booked a private room. The room was big and well equipped, comfy beds and had a big wc.

Checkin is fuss free. However we had some difficulties locating the gravel road leading to the suite as it was pitch dark when we arrived. Room is surprisingly bigger than expected. Room is clean with functional kitchen. Comfortable bed and pillow. The only complain is the layout of the toilet and wardrobe which is outside the room and near the main door. Its a bit cold to take shower. Didn't get to see northern lights due to cloudy sky. Overall had a great stay.

Struttura con camere Ostello comuni super puliti. Diverse docce e bagni a disposizione,.anche queste pulite.
Cucina condivisa molto attrezzata e un bar aperto fino a mezzanotte.
Super consigliato!!!

Great space - would highly recommend. We only stayed here one night but it had great amenities, lovely bathroom, nice studio space and a great view.

The service was fine but quite hands off (not a negative but not notably good). The room was pretty clean, had coffee machine and fridge. No oven but a hob.

About a 5/10 min drive to the black beach and a supermarket 5/10 mins away the other direction.

Beautiful and cozy apartments close to the Black sand beach. With the wide windows the place can be a really good spot to see the northern lights from the warm room.

This hostel was like a 5 star hotel. Affordable on the ocean just an amazing experience!! ALL THE STAFF are so kind , friendly & helpful plus a beautiful dog that is great addition to this hidden gem. Highly recommend The Barn for a stay when in Iceland!! Cleanest hostel ever!!

Estuvimos genial. El hostel muy moderno, la cocina muy bien equipada y amplia. Instalaciones comunes muy limpias y cómodas. El servicio super amable. Pudimos ver auroras desde el estacionamiento. Todo fantástico.

Great location, the rooms are nice and beds were really comfy. Bathrooms and kitchen was great and very functional with everything you need. The food is not that good, everything is frozen so definitely the chicken tenders are the best thing on the menu haha.

Parfaitement équipé, moderne, grande terrasse,vue dégagée pour les bungalows du bas. Grand parking. Super litterie. Très chauffé,voir trop????. C est spacieux. Netflix etc ????. Je rajouterai juste une douchette pour pouvoir se rincer correctement dans la douche. Ainsi qu un patin de feutrine sur le couvercle des toilettes pour éviter qu il ne tape contre le carrelage bruyamment. Ainsi qu un système de fermeture au ralenti du placard de la poubelle sous l évier, qui cogne bruyamment dès qu on le ferme. Proximité du supermarché kronan, a vik est un vrai plus ????????

Loved this hostel for the amenities including a bar downstairs and a big shared kitchen. Sinks outside of the shower rooms were a thoughtful touch. I wasn’t able to have a super warm shower at night here but it was doable. Maybe too many people using the water?. There’s some wear and tear happening aesthetically but the beds are warm, rooms are clean and the location is ideal - near black sand beach and a short drive to Vik.

Auberge très sympa.

Nous avons pu profiter d'un grand dortoir pour 8. Les lits se ferment avec un rideau très épaix. Les douches étaient très propres, la grande cuisine également avec tout le nécessaire indispensable pour faire la cuisine.

Ho trascorso una notte. Ottima la sistemazione in camera condivisa con otto letti, ogni letto ha la propria tendina da chiudere, per ottenere una maggiore privacy. Hotel pulito, caldo e silenzioso. Bagni puliti e docce spaziose. Personale sorridente e disponibile. Consiglio vivamente.

Tolle moderne Anlage!!! Saubere Zimmer (privates Doppelzimmer), große Gemeinschaftsküche, schöner Ausblick. Trotz neueren Baujahr gibt es schon erste Schäden in den Zimmern und den Gemeinschaftsbädern. Daher ein Stern Abzug. Die Bar unten ist gemütlich, es gibt viele Spiele.

They advertise on booking, 4 beds dorm, without saying it's double beds....meaning 8 people in a Small Small dorm room.....
Considering that, they should at least make mandatory for people to take a shower Before going to bed ????

We stayed in a suite, lovely and warm and well appointed. Big and spacious with tall ceilings.
Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided in bathroom. Lovely little balcony to take breakfast or a drink, or just relax and enjoy the stunning views. Food available from the main hostel.
Highly recommend.

Chambres individuelles très bien et cuisine avec pas mal d'équipement mais manque de place dans cette dernière ce qui fait qu'on se marche vite dessus pour se faire à manger. A noter que le bar laisse les restes à disposition le soir (sucré et salé) et que le café n est pas cher pour le pays
