This is a basic hotel with essentials. Don’t expect the most luxurious stay but it will suffice for one night. Positives: great location, within walking distance of Skogafoss and a 25min drive from Vik, also put on a decent breakfast with some scrambled eggs, Skyr, fresh fruit and cheese plates. Negatives: the shower smelled of sulfur and the outside smelled of fresh cow faeces (no cows in sight). It will absolutely do for a nights stay, its independent check in which was very easy to do. Not sure what you would do if there’s a problem as I didn’t see any staff.

Stayed here for a night on a recent trip and was pretty disappointed. The rooms have paper thin walls, we were on the second floor and could hear everything that happened in the common room as well as the rooms next to us, which wasn't ideal since they were hanging out until 1:30am and we had an early morning. The shower and sink water smelled like sulfur, since I took a shower now I do too. The keypad on the room was finicky and seemed to stop working all together even though we would enter the right code over and over; we couldn't both leave the room until checkout for fear of being locked out. The restaurant food was cold and overpriced, and of course not included. On a positive note we were about to sort of see the northern lights from our room and the breakfast was free.

Hace mucho frío tanto en la habitación, y eso que es muy pequeña, como en el pasillo y el salón de los desayunos gélidosñ total. El desayuno está bien y la persona que nos atendió ha sido muy amable y atento, lo.mejor de nuestra estancia ha sido este chico y su amabilidad

Had a nice late-season stay. It was quiet and simple. Exactly what we were looking for. Breakfast was great. Try the curried herring ????
