Great hotel, great service with friendly staff. Breakfast is very good. But do not eat evening meals here. Food is not the best, and lots of other choices locally.

Hotel is een beetje vergane glorie. Wij zaten in het nieuwe gedeelte, heel mooi moderne kamer, maar afvoer van douche was niet goed, waardoor na 10 minuten douchen niet alleen de badkamervloer maar de gehele kamer onder water stond… Deur kon niet afgesloten en er was geen drempel. Mijn man moest in douche bij het zwembad. Onze kleding op de grond drijfnat. Hotel boodt nul compensatie. Verder leek het wel een jeugdherberg. Zat vol met jongeren van een schoolkamp.

Afvoer van douche werkte niet in nieuwe deel van het hotel. Na 5 minuten douchen bleek de hele kamervloer volgelopen. Onderhoudsman zou al weten wat er aan de hand was.... Bij een andere kamer liep het water de gang op....
Voor de rest was het hotel in orde. Wel wordt er gerenoveerd en gebouwd. Wat voor het oudere gedeelte ook wel nodig is.

Tolles Hotel
Die Zimmer waren richtig groß, man hatte schön viel Platz. Die Betten waren bequem und gemütlich beim Schlafen. Das Bad war auch total in Ordnung.
Das Frühstück ging von 07:00 bis 10:00 Uhr, es gab eine große Auswahl und war sehr lecker.
Das einzig Nervige waren die vielen Schulklassen, die dort herumliefen und die ganze Zeit am Schreien waren. Beim Frühstück hatten diese zum Glück einen extra Raum.

Beware, there is an “old section” and “new section” to this hotel. Any marketing pictures of rooms you see are the new section. We came with a group of friends who all booked about the same time. Some got the new modern and clean rooms while others got the old dated and run down rooms and everyone was charged the same.

Our old room had no clock, no USB plugs, giant gouges out of counters, chairs with the fake leather peeling off and the most, uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. It felt like we were sleeping on 2 box springs. Walking to breakfast we saw this in the hall so this is what we were sleeping on.

We went to see our friends room in the “new” section and the difference was shocking. We should not have been charged the same price.

Dinner was excellent and saved this from being one stars across the board.

Nice hotel in a pleasant town. We had a superior room which was spacious and well appointed. Lots of places to eat within walking distance if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. We were very lucky and had a great show from the northern lights during our stay.

This was our first on the road stop on our Iceland Complete Coach Tour. This was one of the few stops where the hotel had a pool which was a plus as I was looking forward to relaxing after a day of travel. They provided a great plated dinner (Catfish) and I partook of the local beer and the pool. The rooms were good and clean and the service was also great.
