Simple rooms but ideal in the cottages for families!

Brilliant place.
The staff are lovely and the hotel is something else. The setting is pretty cool.
From the building itself to how it has been set up inside.
The theme carries well.
Breakfasts were great. Food was really tasty.
Ideal having the hot tub and the sauna there after a day out in the cold .

Ganska nedgånget hotell med enkla rum, illaluktande wc (mycket pga svavelvattnet). Roligt ställe mitt emot dock, vikingarestaurangen som hade bra mat och mysig inredning.

I actually loved it here
Rooms are a good size, hot water, smelled egggy but that's to be expected.
Lovely location easy access to get out to places while avoiding most of the traffic.
Breakfast was good, simple but delicious.

I just arrived at Hotel Viking two days ago and my experience here as been nothing short of wonderful so far. The hotel itself is located close enough to Reykjavik to be convenient, but also far enough to be removed from all the hustle and bustle of the city. My room is small, but as a solo traveler for this trip this is perfect - nothing fancy or extraneous. The only thing I felt myself wanting is a mini-fridge, but not having one isn't a huge issue. The restaurant is downright incredible; everything I've eaten there in the past two days has been delicious. The food is pretty pricey, but very, very good.
