We were more than pleased with our 2-night stay at Hotel Holt. The atmosphere is charming and warm, and the front desk staff are exceptionally helpful. The complimentary coffee bar was a nice touch and the room was clean and comfortable. There are comfortable areas for guests to lounge and read, as well as lots of beautiful art to look at. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Hotel Holt to anyone visiting Reykjavik.

Super cute hotel with vintage flair and - as the name suggests - Art everywhere.
Perfectly located close to the city but still not too loud at night. Breakfast is really good, too, and staff is very attentive and Super friendly and helpful.

After recently staying in the Hotel Holt during our trip to Iceland, we would recommend if you're looking for something near the main strip (5 min walk) and the church. Quite basic rooms but was perfect for us and had everything we needed and was out in town for most of the day.

Also wanted to say that Kevin at the front desk was so polite and really helpful. He made some good recommendations for us to eat when we first arrived and helped us out when we thought the Blue lagoon was closed.

This hotel was part of a package holiday, and was listed under the "luxury" category. There didn't seem to be many pictures of the rooms online, but the reviews seemed good enough so we gave it a go. But unfortunately there isn't many good things to say about it, from our stay at this hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel is in a good location (5 minutes walk from the town, etc), but the rooms are tiny and old fashioned. Could do with a makeover, and modernising a bit. No fridge in the room and the TV was too small to do anything with. Even the extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working, and could see mould starting to appear on the ceiling. Luckily our package holiday included a lot of days out/trips, so none of this was a huge problem for us, but expected a lot more.

Breakfast (if you can call it that) was included from 7 to 10am. We went twice, then decided to eat elsewhere after that. The first morning there was scrambled egg, sausages, and beans (all lukewarm) with a couple of pastries and a few other odd little bits. Not much at all. On the second morning there was scrambled egg, mushroom, and bacon (again all lukewarm), with the same pastries and other little bits. We knew it was going to be a buffet style breakfast, but was expecting more options at least. If you choose to stay here, I would save your money and get breakfast elsewhere.

Location was good, only a few minutes to the 'rainbow road' and the cat cafe. The bed was very comfortable but that's all the good things for the hotel. Hotel needs a serious update. Room was very small and dark, with one chair, a desk, the smallest TV, wonky paintings, 2 single beds pushed together, mouldy walls in the shower and no mini fridge ( even though there was space for one in the wardrobe). Breakfast was included in our stay, if not its €25pp. It wasn't anything special with a small array and a baine marie of scrambled egg, baked beans, bacon but this was changed everyday. It would have been nice to be asked if we wanted a hot breakfast and they cook it fresh from order.

Had a fantastic time in Reykjavik, loved the hotel... pretty centrally located (especially for pickup & and drop-off bus stops, including BSI terminal). Friendly staff 10/10!

This hotel has the ideal location. Close enough to the centre but just a little far enough away to be quiet. Only thing I’d take away is rooms are small and very basic.

Notable mention to the bar which is ideal for a night cap.

Everyone was welcoming and helpful. Clean hotel and rooms. Helped with taxi’s and my excursions. Even gave me a packed breakfast on my way to the airport.

I didn't end up staying here due to plan changes but the staff was very helpful and courteous through my booking interactions! I will definitely plan on staying here next time!
