I like this campsite since it’s close to downtown Reykjavik. Everything is a community-like setting for laundry, showers, restrooms (separated by gender), cooking, and the kitchen area. To get into the community area, you need to have your code to enter, which is given once you pay for camping. I like this campsite. It’s a great spot :)

This could be a great campsite, with great amenities and fine city location, and the hostel conveniently on site. However, it had the most disgusting sanitary blocks of any camping in Iceland. Cleaned once a day, way too little with these big groups and high footfall, the male toilets and showers were filthy. My wife said the female ones had overflowing sanitary pad bins with used tampons soaking in the water on the floor. At one point in the block near the kitchen all male toilets were without paper, except one - because it was, and apparently had been for some time, full of excrement. Male toilets with brown filth on the edge, remaining so for a whole day. Etc etc. I don't know if the issue is staffing because the amenities are otherwise fine and the hostel looks clean. But the campsite is seriously lacking in sanitary hygiene. You don't just "time" cleaning - you inspect and if you see blocked toilets or overflowing sanitary pad bins, you act.

Todo perfecto, aunque fuimos de noche y estábamos un poco perdidos. Pero puedes pagar online, y te mandan un código y de esa manera puedes entrar. Los baños están super bien y las duchas igual.

La zona es bastante buena y hay un supermercado bastante cerca que es 24h, las zonas comunes y baños están muy bien, lo único malo es que el precio es algo elevado, si vais de noche y no hay nadie en recepción podéis comprar vuestra parcela online y os mandan un código
