Sucio, descuidado y frio. Es como estacionar en cualquier parking urbano público. Se aprovechan de que son el único camping donde puedes quedarte en Reikiavik. Cuidado! Meses después de haber estado siguen llegándote emails con links diciendo que quedan pagos por hacer…

Dear Joan, thank you for your feedback. We've been trying to reach out to you because your stay is unpaid. Due to a system error we were unable to charge your card, but you've received check-in instructions regardless---hence the emails you've been receiving. We are sorry that your experience at the campsite wasn't good. Our guests' comfort is the most important for us, and all our facilities are heated, and cleaned daily. Great location and good space for vans. Lack of grey water dump isn't ideal and two out of three washing machines and dryers are awful - spin speed far too low and therefore drying takes ages and costs loads. Not enough showers or toilets for the space. On the plus side, what is here is clean and tidy, the public spaces especially the table football and the plant life in the cafe area, is lovely and well looked after. In a nutshell, the management need to invest more in upgrades but the day to day staff seem to be doing a very good job with what they have.

The good thing is that you can only access the facilities with a passcode which gives you a kind of security. Shower rooms could be improved as the inside are not insulated well; you would still feel cold. There is hot water but there’s a sulphuric smell going around the toilets and the campsite. You have to pay for laundry which is a little funny as for the price you’re paying per night, you’d think it’d be included. Been to other campsites where I paid a similar amount and laundry & dryer were included. Overall, this campsite is not the worst and gets the job done.

Dear Alexis, thank you for your feedback. We do have staff on site during the day, and in the evenings the hostel next door services the campsite as well. Our staff cleans and checks the facilities multiple times a day as this is something we prioritize, and we are sorry that the the bathrooms were not clean during your stay. Huge, organised and well planned campsite. You gonna reserve and book in advance. Access using a code which will be sent to you upon confirmation of reservation. Huge kitchen, common room, laundry room and toilets/showers.
