This is a wonderful place to stay, especially if your party is larger than two people. We reserved the Bigger Room and it was perfect for the three of us. The location and service is outstanding. There were some tiny annoyances but these would not stop me from staying here again. The bathroom sink was TINY! You could not help but splash water around the sink just by washing your hands. The water pressure is powerful (great thing) and the hot/cold water is instant. But the vessel is just not large enough to keep the water confined to the drain area. In our room, 206, the shower is in the living room. You walk out of the shower directly into the living area, with two large windows overlooking the front just 10 feet away. That was weird. Also, there are no drawers, just shelves. A lot of the rooms had exterior entrances, which means you have to go in through the front, up internal stairs, and then out again to access your room. People walk by your windows so it's best to keep the shades down. Oh, and there is no microwave, just a stove top. The utensils, dishes (Villeroy and Boch!) and cookware (pan and pasta pot) are top quality. Again, none of these are dealbreakers, but they are considerations if any of these things bother you. For the size of the room and the location, this is definitely a five-star rating. Very happy with our stay.

Sehr laut. Ganz schlecht gegen Lärm isoliert, sowohl von innen (andere Gäste) und aussen (Autos etc). Am Morgen ist es schrecklich wenn andere Gäste ihre Zimmertüren zuknallen.

The most welcoming and friendly hotel you are likely to find, the rooms are clean and large, comfortable beds. They were very accommodating and provided gluten free and soya milk, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot rate highly enough

What a lovely stay. All staff super attentive and communicated very well from beginning of booking to check out, they where also super accommodating with our requests. Room was so comfy and clean. Located a very short walk to City Hall bus stop 1, which was very convenient, especially for tour pick ups.

Solamente estuve en la recepción del Hotel. Me parece un lugar muy bohemio y actualizado. La recepcionista fue muy agradable y amable conmigo, me ayudó en todo cuanto pudo. En el Bar se está muy a gusto y atendidos por un excelente profesional. Ambas personas son extremadamente buenos en sus correspondientes oficios, fue una gran suerte para mi que ellos me hayan atendido. Mil gracias!

Absolutely wonderful staff. Rooms were beautiful. Great service and very clean. Loved the location close to bus stops, where tours pick up, and walking to restaurants and the main road.

Super location for a lovely little hotel. Rooms were well thought out and maintained. Beds comfortable and rooms quiet. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Would totally recommend using here as a base in Reykjavík!

It's a good hotel, with an amazing location. Just a couple items to point out:
- Parking was a bit of a challenge for us at nights. We tend to park at the parking garage near Harpa since we couldn't find spots in closer locations.
- Do not take the breakfast option. We took it because we were getting up super early to drive to places. They do not have a kitchen, so the breakfast options are very limited to pastries, fruits and yogurts pretty much.
- We tend to like to watch a movie falling asleep, the TVs in the room we had were attached to the wall next to the curtains and if you wanted to keep the curtains closed at night, it would cover part of the tv since the arm was not long enough.
- Terrace in pictures is all shared with all the rooms, except for the suites that have their own exterior terrace looking at the lake. All others look at an inside patio and as mentioned, it's a shared space where anyone can walk outside of your room.

Overall it was a nice location, but we thought that it was really expensive (we paid less in other areas in Iceland for better hotels) for some of the inconveniences we had.
