The food might be good but the service certainly discriminatory for families. Yesterday when we arrived we saw a sign on door “ open at 1” - we walked and returned at 1240 and sign was off -my husband walked in to ask if they are open- and a man ( looked like the chef) screamed “ i an hour”. We then stood outside for maybe 20 more min and saw loads of people walking in. My husband walked in again and the same man told him 10-15 min. We continued standing outside with my 4 month old and 2 year old in the rain! The same man came out to throw smth in the trash and looked at us . Then 1 min later his colleague came out and just said “ you waiting for lunch? We are full”. I mean SERIOUSLY???? Like they cldnt tell us that 1 hour before when we first asked? It was VERY clear they just didnt want children! Even if the restaurant was truly fully booked this was definitely not the way to treat a family waiting standing in the cold rain for nearly an hour- they definitely saw us outside all this time!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointing and i wouldn’t recommend especially to anyone with kids.

My concierge in Venice told me I MUST come here for dinner!

It wouldn’t have been my first choice as a solo traveler since it has a very social ambiance, even with conjoined tables but I made the best of it.
Aside from the noise and servers constantly passing, it’s a beautiful and characteristic restaurant. The servers are professional but also a bit playful. (See photos haha). Shoutout to the medieval menu that thumped on my table. Gave me a good laugh.
I noticed a teeny tiny bar at the front near the register. Could be a good place to meet people.
Food was good. (Not memorable). I’d return with some company and ask for a table away from the walking aisle. ;)

If you are looking for local restaurant and wine bar that THE place.
The restaurant is elegant and has cozy vibe. It tends to be pretty crowded so make a reservation in advance. There are tables for bigger and smaller groups.
We highly recommend trying the pasta as well as schnitzel. The place offers huge variety of wines so it’s a perfect place for degustation.
The prices were a bit higher than usual but for the quality and atmosphere you get, it is 100% worth it
