Un'esperienza eccezionale.
Di passaggio a Verona, conoscevo il locale solo sui social.
Dal vivo è un'esperienza sensoriale unica.
Cortese e avvolgente Vittorio, un menù breve, ma esplosivo nei sapori, una carta vini che denota passione e ricerca ed un ambiente intimo e non scontato.
Particolare menzione per i formaggi.
Tappa obbligatoria su Verona.

Ambiente molto curato e caratteristico , locale un po piccolo ma è anche il suo bello, rende tutto piu intimo.
Proposta gastronomica alza tantissimo
le aspettative che pero non sono sempre rispettate all’arrivo del piatto. Cibo buono, soprattutto il pescato del giorno e le fettuccine al daino, antipasti e dolci un po meno sorprendenti.
Prezzi un po troppo alti. Pero esperienza interessante.

Reconsider if you are a solo traveler!

I was looking forward to trying this restaurant whilst in Verona, following good reviews and the enticing Instagram posts. As a middle aged solo traveler I’m very accustomed to dining alone and am not a backpacker. Whilst I appreciate it was a Friday evening it is low tourist season in Verona so decided to give it a try.
I was met by a charming man but in requesting a table for one I noted a change in his demeanour. After a while of searching the diary, which as a non Italian I could see was not full, and consulting with a waiter and his phone. I was told the restaurant was fully booked when it opened at 19:30.

I continued my journey and dined in a neighbouring restaurant. However as I passed the restaurant an hour later I was surprised and saddened to see the restaurant was a quarter full of couples happily dining. I’m sure the restaurant didn’t have three quarters of bookings not attend or were running substantially late, so can only conclude that the restaurant does not seat solo diners. The other conclusion could be that there were a significant number of diners who didn’t show up which could be a sign that I had a near miss in not dining at this restaurant

The reply below is a sad and aggressive response. This is not a fake review but a review of my personal experience last evening. Sadly I have left Verona this morning to continue my Italian travels or I would have taken up the owners kind offer which would have allowed me to contemplate my initial review.

Ottimo ristorante nel cuore della città, piccolo e accogliente, ti trasporta in un'altra epoca. Cibo di alta qualità e personale gentilissimo. Eccellente selezione di vini. Consigliato!
