What a beautiful place! The level of cooking was a nice surprise, they know how to do food. Also, the staff is wonderful, but special thanks to Michaela ❤️ Might be our favorite hotel stay ever.

Location ottima ma possiamo dire che sia solo questo, visto che il servizio fornito è stato decisamente scadente, pricipalmente mia la colpa di aver dimenticato qualcosa in camera, ma dopo essere tornato a casa, circa due ore ed essermi accorto della dimenticanza ho immediatamente chiamato l'hotel, la gentile commessa prima ha preso tempo, poi sostenendo di aver controllato personalmente quando appena prima mi ha comunicato dia ver solamente chiesto agli addetti delle pulizie, ha fatto passare un altro giorno con la scusa di cercare. Mi hanno fatto poi parlare con la direttrice che come risposta mi ha detto di passare per l'assicurazione la quale ha fatto richieste assurde sulla documentazione da fornire, ma questa è la prassi. Come già detto mi la disattenzione, ma la gestione è stata molto opaca ho dovuto contattare l'hotel più volte per avere una risposta da qualcuno competente, in ogni caso state attenti a quello che lasciate dentro le stanze in questo posto, considerato il prezzo questo trattamento è da bettola.

Keine Frage, einer der schönsten Orte rund um Florenz. Tolle Aussicht, ein super nettes Team, leckeres Essen ..... es ist immer wieder schön hier zu sein. Und es ist einfach schön zu erleben, wie das Team Spaß an der "Arbeit & Hingabe" hat. Manchmal würde es reichen, einfach nur da zu sitzen, Laura und den anderen zuzuschauen .... und ein Glas Wein dabei trinken. Danke!

Thank you so, so much to everyone at Pensione Bencista for helping to make our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding absolutely wonderful! I cannot praise the hotel, location, food and particularly the staff, highly enough. It could not have been better. Really hope nothing ever changes about this wonderful hotel as it is perfect! Can’t wait to return one day.

Il 9 agosto 2023 ho cenato al ristorante che ha una vista su tutta Firenze impagabile. Ero un po preoccupata, viste diverse recensioni non buone ma tutto è andato bene (unica nota negativa: la 'vellutata' di zucchine era un brodino verde freddo e insipido salvato dall'ottimo crostino che lo accompagnava) Personale gentile. Si spendono 50/60 euro a testa ma ne vale la pena. Il menu cambia ogni mese e la cucina apre alle 19. La caffetteria/sala da te è aperta tutto il giorno dalle 9 alle 22 con delizie salate dalle 17 in poi. Meravigliosa la pergola con un magnifico glicine....

We had the pleasure of dining here after a horseback ride, and the evening couldn’t have been more surreal. The staff was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. They walked us through the menu, explaining what made each dish unique and incredible. And incredible it was. The food was phenomenal, the wine was delectable, and all of it was enhanced by the most gorgeous view I’ve ever had the privilege to dine with.

Our first thought on entering the delight that is Pensione Bencistà was how on earth was it only a 3* hotel. It overlooks the wonder that is Florence, the staff provide the most fantastic service, the dinner area is what we imagine the Garden of Eden would have been like and the room have everything one would need for a stay in Florence.

Put simply, this is the hotel to stay in when visiting Florence. I would like to give a special shout out to Giuseppe, the Maître d' in the Pensione Bencistà hotel restaurant. His wine choices were unparalleled in their excellence and his food recommendations exquisite. He is, in our humble opinion, Pensione Bencistà’s and perhaps even (move over, Michaelangelo and the Medicis) Florence’s greatest asset. I would ask the hotel to kindly provide a general email address, so I can get his contact details and invite him to stay with us in the UK. What a man.

In case you were wondering, the hotel cannot be above 3* as there is no TV in the rooms. If you need a TV when staying in a city as beautiful as Florence, you need to get out more. We will be back.
