The heating did not work with the excuse that they have turned it to cooling, with an outside temperature in Florence of 9 degrees, unacceptable.

This hotel in Florence does not offer air conditioning until the very hot months of summer. My husband and I visited in April 2024 when some days were 85 degrees F. He had trouble sleeping restfully without air conditioning.
We reserved a Classic room that was nothing like the pictures on their website. Pictures of the room we were given do not appear on their website at all. Their "period furnishings" online description is more accurately described as tired, faded furnishings with a stained rug, no drawers and electrical problems. The female staff and the bellboy were very accomodatimg but some of the male staff at the front desk were not interested in our discomfort and unapologetic. More of a "take it or leave it" attitude.

A very friendly, attentive staff. Just blocks from the Duomo with small restaurants and shops along the way. We had a variety of rooms, from a single to a large suite. None of them disappointed. I laid in bed with a view of the Dome!

The lady at lobby at first meet till check out is very unfriendly. The bell boy is also similar. Complaining on our suitcase. I have to wake up whole night because of the life is very loud. Also you can hear everything inside the hotel, you hear your neighbors talking. Yes the hotel decorations is very charming but the sleeping is also very important. One time and only

Terrible hotel, I made a reservation by mistake a month earlier and they did not help with changing the reservation to correct date, only accepting a non refundable cancellation.

The hotel was in a nice location. It was once a monastery and has some old world charm. The hotel is located in a charming square and is right around the corner from the Accademia Gallery where Michelangelo's famous David Statue is displayed. Fantastic location within a few hundred metres of the Duomo and by one of Florence's best churches (SS. Annunziata). Beautiful and very comfortable rooms. Great value all things considered.

Nice hotel in the heart of Florence. Old building with comfortable beds and very clean rooms. Breakfast is also ok. Staff gave us good coffee and restaurant recommendations.

I got a view to the dome. Short walking distance to main landmarks. I loved listening to music and opera singing in the mornings when opening the windows.
Elevator. Great places to eat close by. Next to the David and other main museums.
The room had everything I needed and it was very comfortable.

Rooms were small but nicely appointed. The location was very close to The David, restaurants, and the central Duomo. Be sure to use the provided night light in the small bath... Very dark at night in there.

The location was perfect: very central, but on a quite and relaxing square. The building was delicately decorated with period features and furniture, but relay well kept and with all modern facilities. It was elegant and not saturated with baroque decor, which was very pleasant and relaxing. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The complementary toiletries were also very nice from a local business and had a great scent. And of course, the entire staff (reception, breakfast and rooms) were increadibly welcoming, willing to ensure that we had a pleasant stay, but always very discreet and natural. We had a delightful stay. Also the breakfast buffet options were delicious: cakes, quiches, yogurts… and great selection of teas.
