The pizza was the best we’d had so far as a family in Italy. I also believe the eggplant antipasti is a MUST!
The view of the cathedral also made it all the better.

Great restaurant with wonderful food! We dined at the table on which former US president J.F. Kennedy dined, who can say that!? We enjoyed a nice gluten free penne bolognese and a spaghetti carbonara with a nice Chianti Classico. The staff was very friendly!

Nice restaurant in Florence just next to Catherdral of Santa Maria .it's a historical one ,established in 1882!
We had wonderful pasta paccheri in duck sauce , spaghetti and wine for dinner.
It was indeed a memorable one.

What a fantastic place right near the Duomo. Went there the first night we arrived and was greeted by the friendly staff. Food was delicious and service even better. Went there every night then at least for a drink at the end of the night for the next few days. The staff not only remembered us but also our drinks order. All of them were lovely - the Italian men, the Sri Lankan and the Romanian girl.

It’s a quaint little basement restaurant with narrow stairs down. The decor and table setting is lovely. I can’t remember what the pasta dishes are called but they were good and the house Chianti is good. The only problem I had was when the whole lid of the black pepper came loose and half the bottle of pepper landed in my plate. I had to scrape the pepper to one side but the pasta was still edible. The waiter thought I put too much pepper when he cleared my plate.

Un'esperienza culinaria indimenticabile nel cuore di Firenze! Il ristorante in Piazza Duomo offre non solo una vista mozzafiato sulla celebre cattedrale, ma anche piatti deliziosi che esaltano la tradizione culinaria toscana. L'atmosfera elegante e accogliente si unisce a un servizio impeccabile, rendendo ogni momento trascorso qui un vero piacere. Consiglio vivamente di assaggiare la ribollita, la bistecca alla fiorentina e, per concludere in dolcezza, il tiramisù fatto in casa. Un luogo da non perdere per chi desidera vivere appieno l'essenza della cucina fiorentina!

I had a lovely lunch at this place!! The restaurant is perfectly nestled near the Church and its such a view to dine there!! The food is amazing. Definitely try there if you're in florence!

Restaurant découvert lors de notre séjour à Florence. Nous y sommes allés 2 fois. Un midi et un soir.
La cuisine est très bonne (un osso bucco excellent) et le service aussi. Ne parlant que très peu italien, les serveurs ont été très patients avec nous pendant nos efforts et ont parlé un peu français. L'addition peut parfois mettre du temps à arriver. En déhirs de cela, nous recommandons vivement ce restaurant.

Een smalle deur geeft toegang tot een stijle trap. Het restaurant bevindt zich in een soort kelderruimte mooi ingericht en vol met foto's van (plaatselijke) beroemdheden met de eigenaar van de zaak. Het restaurant bestaat al heel lang. We waren een beetje vroeg op de avond (voor Italiaanse begrippen) maar dat was geen probleem.
We hebben heerlijk gegeten in een prettige atmosfeer met aardige bediening.

Qualità del cibo altissima e tanta cura del locale. La posizione potrebbe fare pensare a "una trappola per turisti", invece è un posto veramente buono in cui tornerò senz'altro. Bistecca top e consigliatissimi i tortellini scamorza+crema ai ceci+asparagi

Ate here twice during our stay in Florence and loved it. We saw the negative reviews after so needed to share our positive feedback. We thought this place was a real hidden gem. Traditional basement restaurant with really great food which was reasonably priced especially given this the central location. There was only one waiter but it was the quiet season so that wasn’t an issue, and we were happy taking our time over a relaxed evening meal. Overall very happy, which is why we returned a second night.

Ho dato solo 5 stelle perché non potevo darne di più. Complimenti per il cibo (tutto ottimo se volete gustare la tradizione del posto) e soprattutto per il servizio (con il sig. Livio): cordiale, simpatico, gentile, in una parola 'accogliente', ti fa davvero venire voglia di tornare.

We had a wonderful meal at this place, and were shocked later on to see so many negative reviews. I love a good basement restaurant, and we had absolutely wonderful service, including dish and wine recommendations that were spot-on, and they even put together a combination for us that wasn't on the menu. We were the only non-Italians in the restaurant, which is generally a good sign. The Bolognese was excellent and the cacio e pepe was the best I've had in Italy. The minestrone was a little under-seasoned, but it was still quite good. I can imagine if you're here in the high season, you might have less than perfect service, but ours was excellent, and we were glad we went.
