I texted the place for making a reservation on Sunday of easter because I was arriving Florence late and I didn’t wanted to stay without dinner. They responded saying that the reservation was confirmed, now they don’t respond and I get to the place and it’s closed. What a lack of seriousness.

Firenze was a bit more difficult for me to figure out than Venice or Rome on our 9 day whirlwind tour of Italy. This place was a highlight. Off the beaten path, but still walkable from the SMN train station in the historic district. It’s a small neighborhood trattoria catering to students, locals and adventurous tourists. Pizza is the specialty of the house, but you can get decent plate of steak or bowl of mussels in tomato broth as well. The carbonara served at the table next to us looked good too. The price was right and the atmosphere was lively yet relaxed.
