Edificação de 1540, com amplo jardim. Ao lado de um daqueles canais. Excelente café da manhã.

Nice old quaint place. Classic room needs a walk up the narrow stairs- cute but tough for luggage etc. Service is exceptional. Garden outside is very nice and a bottle of complimentary prosesco is a nice gesture!

Ruined our stay in Venice. We booked 2 rooms for 4 people, paid and everything. Arrived and was told the hotel was overbooked. We had to separate to 2 different hotels and Imagine having to book last minute hotel in busy busy Venice …. The “manager” wouldn’t apologize or try to fix it by sending us to another hotel or offer any type of emotional compensation. Waited at least 1 hour for him to finish “cleaning the only available room”. Avoid this and go to another hotel.

The camera doesn't lie and Palazzo Abadessa did not disappoint and in fact exceeded our expectations. A beautiful hotel, retaining so many original features, it was a pleasure and privilege to stay here for seven glorious nights. It looked and felt very Venetian - silk-covered walls, antique furniture and a wealth of Murano glass. All the staff, especially Luca and Raja, were welcoming, helpful and seemed genuinely pleased to have us there.
The location is perfect - no more than 100m from the Grand Canal but in a very quiet spot, on a small canal. An oasis of calm in a busy city. How many hotels in Venice can boast a secluded garden? A real treat to have breakfast outdoors. The hotel is ideally situated for vaporetti stops - Ca d'Oro (3 mins walk) and Fondamente Nova (12 mins walk).
A two minute walk to Strada Nove gives you a huge choice of restaurants, shops, bars and within a 10 minute walk even more choice. Fondamente Misericordia was a delight with its string of restaurants and outdoor dining along one of the three main canals in Cannaregio.
Room 23 on the second floor was large and well-appointed with three windows and a nice seating area. Huge comfy bed too!
Good breakfasts, good coffee and quiet air conditioning. My husband and I were extremely sad to leave.
