We came here on our last evening in Venice, after a week of wonderful food experiences and with high expectations. This restaurant is recommended by Michelin??? Really!!! ???? The ambience is fine and we thought we would have a lovely evening. But the service was uninvested and the food was less than underwhelming. The starters were ok - just about - with bland polenta and a sauce with the mussels that tasted like a ready made tomato soup. The mains were atrocious. The liver and vegetables were cooked to death and looked grey, the "baby" squid was bitter and left a horrible taste in the mouth. Probably not cleaned out ... Absolutely awful. We left right after and went for a dessert somewhere else just to clean the palate. It wouldn't be so bad if the whole sorrow affair hadn't cost well over £100. What a shame to have that sort of experience on our last evening.

Grilled Seabass with Vegetables is fantastic, perfectly grilled. Spider crab linguine is ok, but had several pieces of crab shell so biting into it, the experience wasn’t pleasant. Atmosphere is great, good to reserve in advance. There is a cover charge of 4euro/pax

Food excellent, environment excellent, people just lovely (thank you Luca for being so friendly and helpful!). Nobody mentioned it, but the music is also great; just about right in volume and type for background music. We followed the other reviewers’ advice and got the local house wine (friuli), it fit really well with the food. I thought the crab tagliolini would be the highlight given the reviews, but we adored even more the seppie alla veneziana. Do book before arriving (at least on a Friday)!

I want to add areas to improve, but I cannot think of anything. Keep it up team <3
