We had a great stay here! The side lake view room we booked had a wonderful view of the lake from the balcony. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent.

We stayed for three nights in this rather small but very cozy hotel. Our room was very nice with a beautiful bathroom and a small balcony with lake view. The beds were surprisingly comfortable! The breakfast and dinner options were plenty and the personnel very friendly. One small critique point: While the coffee at the breakfast buffet was decent, there's still room for improvement!

Fantastic location, right in Varenna, on the water. Nice hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will certainly stay here again the next time we visit Como. Maybe the best restaurant in town.

Although there is a nice view, there are better options for your stay in Vareena (both hotel and B&B). The cleanliness was mediocre, the bottled waters in our room had been opened, dirt from the AC unit was on our pillows/bed each time we would return to our room (although it was never turned on), the hallway coffee was not restocked with mugs or coffee for your mornings. Breakfast was basic continental and each day had to ask for the coffee to be filled. When we pay to stay in a nice hotel, it is an expectation that they are on top of those details. One of the morning hospitality workers is not friendly, has no patience for guests and did not try to pretend she did.

Overall our stay here was wonderful. The charm of this hotel is the lake views so I really recommending getting a lake front room! Eating breakfast and dinner one night on the patio overlooking the lake was also lovely. The bed was also very comfortable and we were happy to have both a fan and an AC unit.

There were some ants in our bathroom and I did notice when I went to make tea one night that the communal hot water kettle really needed to be cleaned. However, these were minor issues and we still had a lovely time.

Spent two nights here as part of our honeymoon. The views from the room were spectacular. The rooms themselves were clean and quiet. The restaurant here was our best meal in the area. We consider ourselves so lucky to have stayed here.

Spent 2 nights here in July 2023. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Great view of the lake from the veranda. Good breakfast came with the room. I would stay here again. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night; it was excellent.

The hotel is so great! We stayed in one of the Casa Rosa rooms and has a perfect lake view. The breakfast on the terrace was tasty, but the view was the real star of the show. Be sure to get reservations at the restaurant in advance--they were booked up and we couldn't get one! The A/C in the hotel room worked fine but wasn't quite as cold as American standards, just FYI.

Lovely and amazing place! The views were spectacular, even the “side” room. Breakfast was a quintessential European breakfast. Be sure to get dinner reservations at the restaurant. It was divine.
