Lovely restaurant directly overlooking the lake. The prices are a bit steep but in line with the rest of the restaurants in Varenna. Highly recommend their goat cheese salad, I've had it twice already and will be coming back for more on my next trip to Varenna!

No hospitality. Tourists are not welcome. (Owner/manager is almost rude to tourist customers). Service practically non-existent. They may pick and choose who to cater to, but it definitely wasn't us when we weren't able to speak in Italian. Also, from our observation, they don't keep regular hours, so if you're brave enough to try them anyway, be sure to call them for their hours that day.

Fue la mejor experiencia de mi vida, le pedimos a la camarera que nos cambiase de sitio a uno con vistas al lago que justo acababan de dejar libre y nos cambió sin ningún problema. Las vistas eran increíbles, una sensación inolvidable. El precio era justo. La masa de la pizza estaba muy dura y fue súper difícil cortarla, pero por lo demás genial.

Amazing views and lovely staff! Service was absolutely perfect! Highly recommend. Trout Pâté was delicious. Goat cheese salad ???? was also mindblowing. Absolutely must eat!

A fantastic location with the terrace overlooking the lake. No reservations possible. We were told we would need to wait an hour but it was only about 10mins. We chose this place for the location and because it has vegan options on the menu. The menu is limited but we like that. You can view it on the website and there and at the restaurant it is in Italian and English. The pasta dishes and cheese platter were both high quality delicious as were the desserts. Service was a little slow and it is quite pricey but we think justified. This is for a slow quality meal with a great view, not a rushed one.

VERY BAD

I’ve ordered pasta with seafood. The worst I ever had. When I told the staf that te pasta was undercooked and the seafood was falling apart because it was overcooked they wove it away like it was nothing. I had one bite en my boyfriend also tried it and agreed it was terrible. When we got the check they put the pasta on it anyway. They didn’t want to give some kind of discount. And told me the pasta was perfect. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Don’t be tempted by the view just like us because the food it terrible and the service is even worse! First bad experience in Italy. If you want good food, service and experience I would go to their neighbors Bar Millo.

Las vistas al lago son muy bonitas. Me sentí timado, pedí un tiramisu y la base no tenía licor y estaba hecha de cereales del desayuno Frostis de Kellogs y costaba 8 euros. Somos turistas. No idiotas. La pasta correcta aunque algo cara. Por el pan te cobran 3 euros por persona. Si eso no es una buena propina… lo del tiramisú me pareció un abuso intolerable.

Decís que es una versión revisada del postre, pero casi no llevaba café (yo no lo noté). Cuando se revisa un clásico, se puede mejorar o empeorar, que es vuestro caso. El uso de Frostis de Kellogs’s es indefendible en un producto que debería ser de calidad. No me quejo del precio si dierais calidad. Hubiera estado encantado de pagar por un buen producto.

Pas possible de reserver une table , se présenter avant midi pour être face au lac , bateau dessous la terrasse donc odeur possible de carburant quand ils démarrent pas agréable en déjeunant , à savoir …Accueil plutôt froid surtout de la direction , le serveur très agréable et souriant , on sent bien qu’ils en ont marre des touristes , Pasta verdé bien trop cuite , Pasta cacao al denté mais trop de gorgonzola à mon goût vite écœurant , pain de table pas bon , dommage qu’ils ne servent pas de foccacia sur la table … vue sublime sur le lac, toilette propre…3€ de frais de couvert par personne à rajouter

Plenty of other options. Menu is very limited and not quality. Service is very slow. The view....gorgeous.

Get yourself a cup of coffee and eat elsewhere if you can.
