Amazing stay and super friendly staff!

Possibly one of the best boutique hotels we booked on our entire European honeymoon!

Hotel Villa Marie is located in Tremezzo and about a 10 minute walk from the port. When we arrived, we were greeted by such friendly staff & reception. You can tell they run this place which such love & care. The owner even gave us a glass of presence to wish us congratulations on our honeymoon :)

We had booked the deluxe room with lake view in mid September which was the perfect size! A gorgeous mini balcony to wake up to in the morning. Bedroom & bathroom were both spacious and we have copious amount of closet and drawer space. Despite it being a “older” hotel which we were a bit nervous about, the rooms are clean and very well maintained. They also provide guests with a room key with a unique key chain which is quite heavy so they encourage you to drop it off everytime you leave the hotel and pick it up at reception upon return. I personally love that special touch!

Each morning, we got to enjoy the continental breakfast downstairs in the terrace & breakfast room which had quite a bit of variety (croissants, yogurts, fruits, cured meats, scrambled eggs, toast, juice & coffee). The hotel has the most stunning front terrace & rooftop terrace for guests to enjoy. We unfortunately didn’t enjoy the pool since it was a bit cold or try the in house restaurant since we were always out & about Como but hopefully next time when we come back.

The wifi is a bit spotty at times which would be the only negative comment if we have to be picky. Overall, I’d say this is definitely the place to book if staying in Tremezzo. Not only will you be away from the hustle & bustle of tourists but you’ll be well taken care of at a fraction of the price compared to other 3/4 star hotels. Grazie!!! ❤️

I cannot put into words how incredible our stay at Hotel Villa Marie was, but I’ll attempt! My husband and I stayed here last month for our wedding along with our families. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The room we chose was the blue “junior suite lake view” room and pictures do not do it justice. It is SO beautiful. The view from the room is absolutely incredible. I was actually surprised at how much storage was available in the room as well. We had a ton of clothes (wedding dress & tux included) and everything fit perfectly into the wardrobe and drawers. The bathroom is also beautiful and I loved having the bathtub. The family that runs this hotel is SO lovely. They went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were taken care of. I’m not really a breakfast person, but I ate breakfast every morning because it was just too good to skip out on. They serve a different homemade cake every morning and that alone is enough to get me out of bed. ???? As soon as you open the doors to leave your room in the morning you can smell the most amazing smells throughout the hallways coming from the kitchen. The location is also perfect! There are many delicious restaurants all within walking distance and the ferry stop is very close as well. We were all so sad to leave on our last day, but we will 100% be back!! ❤️

My partner and I had a beautiful stay at Hotel Villa Marie. This is a family-run hotel where the staff knows your name and room off-hand throughout your stay. The staff was welcoming and very helpful in assisting you navigate the busses, ferries, taxis, etc. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and linen. We had the simplest room, which has everything you need including a safe for your valuables. Breakfast is served daily on the front terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. Stay here if you want to be in a more quiet area of Lake Como, with convenience to transit, and without sacrificing the view - would highly recommend and stay again!

Beautiful views. Great cocktails.

I recommend staying here instead of Bellagio, Menaggio or Como. It's a lot more relaxing and peaceful.

It's easy to get to various villas and museums to visit.

There's a wonderful nearby park where you can swim and take beautiful romantic photographs.

Highly recommended and we will be back again!
