The service was quick and friendly, but the food left something to be desired, especially in a region with great options. Seafood dishes had small portions and weren't very flavorful. Pansotti was very bland and kind of pasty. Maybe just an off night...

Mi dispiace ma il servizio è pessimo il cibo per quel poco che abbiamo mangiato era buonissimo ma non è giusto che tra un antipasto ed un primo piatto possa passare più di quaranta minuti e con il locale mezzo vuoto e tavoli che sono arrivati mezz'ora dopo sono stati serviti in dieci minuti mi dispiace ma la mia esperienza è molto negativa

Non sono il tipo che lascia recensioni negative, ma questa volta sono rimasta davvero delusa.
Tempi di attesa lunghi, cibo non molto gustoso, almeno per gli intenditori...
I muscoli ripieni erano riempiti per la maggiorparte di pane...personale impreparato e per niente professionale.
I turisti che vengono qui non vengono per sedersi 3 ore a tavola, vengono per godersi il territorio e i paesaggi.

Ambiente e personale freddini , un antipasto polpo e patate freddo di frigo e sicuramente non di giornata, quattro pezzetti di polpo insipido e piu pomodoro che patate, trofie al pesto praticamente crude.. non piu di 15 persone nel locale e ascoltato lamentele del servizio lento. Prezzo non economico..

La fritura de mar llego fría. Le avisamos a la moza, se lo llevo y lo trajeron recalentado. El plato de pasta normal. Tuvimos que pedir hielo en varias oportunidades.

Avoid at all cost. I’m not one for negative reviews, but I’ll do this in service to future visitors to Monterosso.

This was the worst* meal we’ve had in Italy in 13 years and dozens of trips. Literally just go to the train station and have the mixed seafood, or… anything else. Management/ownership is clearly uncaring and, frankly, lazy. I don’t blame the server for this, but from a diner’s perspective the servers were doing far less than the bare minimum. Just dropping each plate at the end of the table for diners to distribute themselves (for a 4-top) is evidence of this.

*The lemon anchovy antipasti was absolutely fine. The pesto trophie was well-prepared but absolutely flavorless - we never salt our food at restaurants, but it was, tragically, necessary in this case.

Don't know why this place has so low ratings. The seafood soup was absolutely delicious. A lot of people don't like anchovies, but if you do, try their anchovies in lemon sauce, it's like Italian anchovies seviche! Yeh, and their Brunello is pretty affordable, as much as Brunello can be affordable :)

Unico ristorante in cui ho trovato posto senza prenotazione (dopo aver cenato capisco il motivo). Spaghetti alle vongole appiccicosi e con la presenza di burro, spaghetti all’astice immangiabili un sugo mediocre e senza sapore. Fortunatamente decisi di annullare la frittura di pesce e andarmene via in tempo.

We had a very good meal here. They accommodated us with no reservation during a busy time and we were served promptly. Priced are a tad higher than what I would expect from the quality of my food but the service was exceptional for my experience with Italian restaurants and our food was good. The appetizer was my favorite part! The salmon is not recommended but that was my mistake as an American. Order local fish! So great to be in the center of the old town and enjoy a meal. Would recommend.
