This was my first hostel experience ever in my life and it scared me away for a while. That is just one thing the toilet, the bathroom and the kitchen was quite dirty for me and another thing is it doesn’t look like on the pictures, if you look around with a bit more attention, but they had BEDBUGS! It was in my bed and I have seen it in the common area also. On the next morning when we told the stuff they were not surprised at all. But at least we got breakfast and the owner was understanding they gave us a refund and payed for our laundry!

Soggiornare all'ostello Manena è stata un'esperienza incredibile! L'ambiente è accogliente e pulito, il personale è gentile e disponibile, e la posizione è perfetta per esplorare Genova. Le camere sono spaziose e confortevoli, e l'atmosfera è vivace e amichevole. Consiglio vivamente questo ostello a chiunque cerchi un soggiorno economico ma di qualità a Genova."

The place had BEDBUGS. We found them in the bedroom and then it turned out that the bedbugs were also in the common area. The owner did not seem suprised about the bugs when we were getting our refund, so im guessing they have had similar complaints. The place was a bit dirty as well. The location was good though.

Ottimo ostello nel centro di Genova, situato nel quartiere della Maddalena ha camere accoglienti con letti a castello, armadietto personale, bagni funzionali e colazione compresa. Staff molto gentile, il punto forte dell'hotel è la posizione.

Better walk 10 mins furthet to OStellin hostel, which is much nicer for the same price - 22 eur incl 2 eur city tax during the low season
