Danish pastry was delicious-the best wev ever had 9.5/10. Ciabatta sandwiches were light and crunchy and service was very friendly would highly recommend Metro cafe for lunch.

Unfortunately not a great experience. Ordered a bap with pesto and mozzarella. Got two tiny end slices froma mozzarella ball in my bap and a tone of pesto which was sickly. Not worth 10€, not even kind of...
The place has its specific atmosphere of busy Dublin life which I wouldn't mind if the food was at least decent. Service is lovely, but stressed out which is not their fault considering how busy it is !

Nous avons pris un petit-déjeuner dans ce café et ce fut une agréable surprise ! Le service était impeccable et très agréable, l’endroit est sympathique et nous avons bien profité. Le serveur était très aimable, avec qui on a pu beaucoup échanger en français.

Tiny space with way too many tables, we could barely move. Also, tables were too low for us.
We both got the pancakes, which were average.
Paid by cash and did not get our change. Add to ask for it when leaving! Very unpleasant experience.

Busy and very central. Food very ordinary. I was there at 11:30am and it was very busy Service was slow but friendly. Breakfast was ok.

Felt like a true Parisian bistro cafe and loved the atmosphere.
Food wasn’t brilliant (the scrambled eggs were rubbery and dry) but otherwise would recommend as a nice place for breakfast.
The pancakes looked great.

Had the eggs and toast and the toast had clearly been out the toaster for a while and was hard and dry. My friend had the same issue. Also the restaurant is very dark and dingy! Would not recommend

Eggs came cold. Coffee wasn’t good. Sent back eggs and they took off the bill. Still cost over €30 for one scrambled eggs with two sides, two orange juices and a coffee.

The Metro cafe has been around a long time now and attracts many customers from around the world. I have seen the cafe change and developed over the last 15 years. There are still old reliables on the menu, and whilst the owners have changed, the new owners have maintained the ambience of The Metro, which is now a feature of the streets of Dublin. There are a lot more tables within the restaurant and outside on the footpath, its well worth a visit ????

Lovely little cafe spot just minutes from Grafton Street but without the Grafton street fuss. Plenty of room, lovely breakfast options, quick service and excellent coffee. Highly recommended.
