Old-school Union/Urban 8 is BACK! No more awful bar nonsense, just gorgeous food, super service, brilliant vibe. If you drifted away, come back. Just had a great midweek feed.

Staff extremely nice. . We shared a starter prawns in a chillie and garlic sauce. €17 5 prawns no bread for the sauce. Prawns under cooked .Main course rib-eye steak 16oz ( not ) medium to well done I asked for . It came with a few chips a few mushrooms and onions on top ( I mean a few ) a tiny jug of pepper sauce and chips. No vegetables. The steak was extremely tough and small . My friend had Raman Curry supposed to have chicken (none at all)
We didn't want to cause any problems with the staff however we told the manager who offered us another option half way through our meal (too late at that stage )
We paid €134 .

Had not been here since it was Union8 (yes, long time). A little expensive for lunch, but the area is more gentrified now and big footfall with kilmainham jail around the corner. Staff friendly. Food tasty. Limited menu, but good options and very well prepared and great quality and taste. It was a little quiet, but this was lunch on a Wednesday so probably to be expected. Ham hock sandwich really good, as was Southern fried chicken sandwich and ragu. Apple crumble desert was also really nice. Great coffee too!!
