PONDOK SANTI ESTATE

We stayed for 4 days and loved it. I don't see how it's rated only 3 star. Close enough to the town, but quiet. It would be great if there was a gym, the other island ones were average and the one we used, not airconned. We stayed in 2 villas as we were upgraded. And happy we didn't end up right on the front near the street. Both were roomy, well layed out with super comfortable beds. The only thing I needed was more lighting to do make up????. It's set to romantic lighting but needed an indoor mirror w brighter lights. The outdoor bathrooms were huge and had everything you need, but again lighting was behind your head, and I do prefer to dry my hair inside in the cool. We did have an air-conditioning and phone not working issue, but both fixed super quick and we got to stay in a neighbouring villa, whilst it was fixed. Every single staff were amazing, but a few even more outstanding was Maria & Muzah from Reception, Ari our waiter, who I believe it was his first job and Rozi ? . The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the steak at dinner w smokey mash , the best! (Put some Sydney steaks to shame) The BLT (although too garlicky for me) & Veg pesto baguettes tasty, but messy. Spring rolls also yum. I had 3 massages, w Ila.... THE BEST. Very friendly, good pressure, clean linens. I definitely recommend, and I've had a lot of massages! We did have a push bike issue, however it was sorted out. I do recommend taking a photo of the bike number plate BEFORE you take it out, to avoid any mix ups, in case security is not there. Yes it can happen, as the bike lock codes apparently can be used on many of the bikes and bikes often the same colour. Overall I would highly recommend this, lovely, spacious resort.
