We sat in the back of the restaurant, and it was extremely hot. The lighting is quite harsh and it’s not so cozy. I had the lamb which was delicious. I also had the kir and a house of wine. Staff got a little confused about some of our orders. We were a table of eight. They duplicated one of the meals and they didn’t understand when I asked them for the lamb special they kept telling me something else, and I kept referring to their house specialty, which was lamb after about 10 minutes of going back-and-forth. They handed me a menu and I showed him what I was talking about and he was like oh yes, sorry. My guess is they don’t know the word lamb. My suggestion would be to change the harsh white lightbulbs that are hanging down they are very disturbing to the eye and if they can add more fans to get some circulation, that would be really helpful.

We visited La Cantine by chance because it was not far from where we were staying and what a surprise! We were warmly greeted by the lovely staff and the atmosphere was great. We had the Gorgonzola gnocchi and the chevre salad which were both delicious. Looks like a great menu and we can’t wait to go back!
