This was a return visit, 7 years later, and again enjoyed it. Suite 2 was very comfortable. Our return flight was cancelled Monday afternoon and fortunately there was one room, 7, available. My partner would liked to have had an iron, did not see one in the suite, but she just wore something different and did not ask at the desk if one was available. Breakfast did not seem well organized on Sat/Sun. Maybe you were short staffed, but refreshing the buffet and coffee was slow. Monday was better and the kitchen provided us with a packed breakfast to take since we had a 4:30 departure Tuesday morning. This was really nice, even shelled the hard boiled eggs. The restaurant provided excellent food and service aside from my breakfast comments above. We look forward to a return visit next year.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Auberge Place D'Armes. The concierges were all incredibly friendly, helpful and charming.. The breakfast was top-notch (especially when compared with the slightly less expensive hotel we stayed in in Montreal). We also had dinner at Jules one evening and thought the food was exceptionally good. Our only quibble was with the noise -- and slight smell -- from the kitchen vent on the roof below the room, which alternated between somewhat loud and VERY loud. It made it so we couldn't open our window and had to use the air conditioner, even though it wasn't hot out. And even with the window closed, you could hear it when it got very loud. One other small thing: the Murphy bed wouldn't stay completely closed, which made it feel like it was going to come down at any moment, all though it never did. It seems like that could be solved pretty easily by installing a small latch of some kind.

An absolute gem of a place. Beautifully and stylishly presented. Location was excellent and staff very friendly. Breakfast could do with a bit more variety. Overall still recommend it highly.
