This is not a very nice hostel. I’ve stayed in many around the world and in Canada, and this is a generally on the lower end. We had a 4 bunk room. While the room was generally clean, the beds themselves were just the old style blue camp mattresses that I slept on as a kid. They were seemed very old and were pretty hard. There was only one power outlet in the entire room.
The bathrooms were also not the nicest, but the most impactful element was that the water wouldn’t get past room temperatures, so showers were cool and short.
Otherwise, the hostel was quiet - we didn’t see many other people around.
The location was good, and the price was good, but I cannot recommend staying here.

Superbe auberge ! L’accueil est super joyeux et agréable !! Les chambres sont propres et les parties communes aussi, le lieu est super bien placé et décoré !

Nice comme auberge au cœur dla haute ville ce fût une première pour moi en tant que client pour 40$ la nuitée je suis un homme combler surtout qu'en semaine il n'y a pas beaucoup d'achalandage j'étais donc seul dans le mini dortoir ????

Staff are nice, and its a great location, rooms are basic but clean, value for money.
Great place to stay and meet and talk to fellow travellers
Just be aware it is a hostel style place with shared toilets and showers, which is the only reason I can't give 5 star.

We stayed in the triple room for 2 nights on weekend. A summary of pros and cons for our stay —
Pros:
• Excellent location with numerous shops and restaurants within walking distance.
• Convenient proximity to the train station and major sightseeing spots.
• A fantastic dining experience at Chez Temporel next door, with a 10% discount for hotel guests.
• Friendly and helpful reception staff.
Cons:
• The room itself is okay but lacks an extra chair and storage space.
• Horrible sound insulation – noise from outside and neighboring rooms was very clear and disruptive, making it very hard to sleep, especially late at night. I wish they could post reminder to guests to keep noise levels down after 11pm or so.
• Shared shower room was acceptable, but inadequate storage made it less convenient.
• There was no elevator as the building was old, unsuitable for individuals who may struggle with climbing steep staircases while carrying large luggage.
Overall, for future visits to Quebec City, I would rather pay a bit more for a quieter and more comfortable stay at somewhere else.

Alors de base notre chambre pour 2 à été annulé, repris un dortoirs à 6 mais retrouver dans un 8. Les murs sont assez epais donc même à coter des toilettes ont entends rien. Les fenêtres fermées, on entend peu la rue alors qu'on est clairement au centre ville. Bref à par ce petit couac, j'ai beaucoup aimé.

Agréable pour un court séjour. Très bonne accueil à la réception. Douche et sanitaire propre! Lit assez étroit. On attend le bruit dans les couloirs des communs surtout si on a un sommeil léger. Emplacement au top, en plein centre, proche des tous les sites touristiques de Québec.

L’auberge est vétuste et pas propre du tout. La literie est catastrophique et encore une fois d’une hygiène douteuse. Les sanitaires sont sales et pas dimensionnés pour un usage collectif. Il faisait 30 degrés et l’eau des douches était brûlante (impossible d’y tenir plus de 2min)
L’insonorisation est inexistante en plus il y a des allés et venus dans la nuit. Il n’y a rien de ce qu’on attend d’une auberge et en plus c’est cher pour ce niveau de service. A fuir! Le seul point positif c’est sa localisation et encore… juste derrière un pub qui ferme à 3h du matin.

The staff were very nice and the location is excellent, but facilities were lacking (no clothes washer/dryer, no AC in my dorm room so the window/fire escape had to be propped open, resulting in occasional noise from outside, unreliable wifi in my room). There was also confusion when two guests in my room were temporarily assigned to the same bed, so the organization system probably needs to be improved. Finally, it would have been nice to have some simple breakfast available in the kitchen like bread with butter and jam.
Several of these issues are room-dependent, and with the hostel being actively renovated, I encourage anyone interested to ask the hostel directly since the issues will likely be resolved in the future or won't apply at all to other rooms (private rooms are available).

This hostel was a last minute catch while I was desperately looking for a good convenient place to stay. The price was fair enough with what it was offering. The location is the highlight, being in the heart of old Quebec. I loved to the architecture of the old buildings in the city, and this hustle made it come true. Beautiful retro wooden stairs, tiny wooden windows and a relaxing back yard. Maybe the only drawback was the noisy neighbors at nights, which was not a big deal for me. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Guests were damn friendly, and nice to talk to. If it wasn't a rush to get to Montreal for the next day, I would have stayed a couple of nights more.
This is a place I recommend.

The hostel cancelled and told us too pay double the price if we wanted to have a bed. Horrible.

Le staff est incroyable, ils offrent même un rabais de 10% Café Temporel juste à côté. Très propre, ambiance calme! Très grande cour vraiment cozy. De plus, les murales sont trop belles. J'adore tout simplement!!

Trés bien située.Possibilité de cuisiner sur place.Bon plan : Il existe une salle de bain a mi étage presque pas utilisée!Les autres sont plutot exigues.
