SAMESUN AUBERGE MONTRÉAL

While the hostel/hotel boasts a convenient location and offers pleasant service, the cleanliness standards in the rooms leave much to be desired. Stains on the cushions detract from the overall experience and suggest a need for improvement in hygiene maintenance.

Stayed for 3 nights in March 2024, lovely place and some things here exceeded my expectations of a backpackers, such as:
1) the Beds have curtains, so if someone turns on the light while you sleep it doesn't impact you so much.
2) The front desk gives free earplugs so you can sleep with someone who snores, which is usually a problem at backpackers.
3) I had no issues with crime/stealing
4) Free breakfast, which was very strange for a backpackers.
5) complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which I've never seen before at a backpackers
6) Individual plugs at each bed for charging your phone and a small shelf for your belongings.
7) Manual dimming lights in the room. If you're the first to sleep, you can set it to a dim setting so someone entering the room a 1am doesn't turn on the bright light and wake you up.
8) Great location, next to the metro to access most of Montreal quickly

The only bad comment I would have is that I wish the kitchen pots and pans were in better condition, the knives were very dull, and that the dish soap was not watered down. Otherwise, this place very much exceeded my expectations of a backpackers!

In summary, this backpackers exceeded my expectations in several ways, I would fully recommend it to others. Mt stay was lovely, and I hope you stay here too so this place gets more business. They deserve to stay open for a long time.

I've stayed at Saintlo, M Hostel, and Aubuerge De Plateu but Samesun has to be my favorite hostels in Montreal.
It compares to hostels in Europe and the staff are absolutely amazing and inclusive with a fully stocked bar that's cheap and open late
If I was tired and jetlagged from travelling there is literally nowhere I rather be.
Beds are comfy breakfast (the muffins!) are awesome.

Je vous raconte mon ext dans ce hostel que je trouve catastrophique , j'ai bien réservé pour une nuit , j'ai payé et le paiement été bien affiché mais ???? le mec qui été. La caisse m'a pas laissé entré en raison que j'avais pas une carte de crédit pour payer une caution que je comprends même pas pourquoi , même si je l'ai présenté deux carte visa et carte débit et je l'ai demandé de payer cette caution en cache mais malheureusement veut pas , en faite c'était une expérience catastrophique et le mec était impoli je vous conseille pas
