I was taken here as part of a group tour by a tour guide. They definitely over-charge tourists and in retrospect I should have bargained a lot more. I paid US$60 for a simple Citrine and silver stud earrings and a tiny Citrine pendant on a silver chain. I paid another US $20 for Rose Quartz silver stud earrings. These items were definitely not worth that much but I fell into the trap. As others have mentioned, they give you a whole demonstration about how they polish their own jewels and then lead you into a showroom where they pressure you into making purchases you do not need. After returning home, I discovered almost an identical necklace on Amazon sold for the same price. That is when I realized I did not get a good deal at all and that the necklace was nothing special. As a tourist, I would not go to places like this especially not with a guide because you will never get a good deal unless you are very good at bargaining and/or have done your research ahead of time.
