Les Insolites is an absolute gem of a bookshop nestled in the bustling medina streets of Tangier. Even if you don't speak French or Arabic, the friendly staff are happy to help you find something of interest. If you're a book lover visiting Tangier, this place is an unmissable gem that will leave you with fond memories long after your trip. I can't recommend it highly enough - it totally deserves 5 stars.

Wonderful bookshop in Tanger. Great selection, beautiful place and very professional people working there.
Abs there are also a few tables outside where you can enjoy a coffee I've got picked up a few books.

Beautiful store and a nice place to get out of the hussle and bustle of the street. Good collection of French books (some had English translations in them). We found some lovely coffee table books (about Morocco) that are worth a look at. The lady was sweet but didn't follow us around - just let us know she was there if we needed help finding something (much appreciated).

Place I wish I had back home!!
Great one of a kind book store and gallery. Fabulous choice of books, but also local artist’s work - photos, posters, postcards…
Young man working there was not only extremley helpful recommending contemporary Moroccan writer’s books but also with general advices about the town and country. Loved it!

Lieu génial pour les lecteurs francophones en voyage à Tanger. On y trouve toutes sortes de livres sur les sujets de société marocains contemporains.
Un bon moyen de faire durer sa visite dans le pays plus longtemps que son propre séjour. N’hésitez pas à demander conseil aux vendeurs et vendeuses. Je recommande chaudement.
