I wanted to like this place but I just can’t say I do. It’s listed as a 4 star hotel. It’s not based on American standards. It’s in an ok area, not great. The rooms are tiny and the air conditioning was spotty. There was an empty soap container in the shower. Breakfast is expensive if not included. The staff was friendly.

We decided on this hotel due its central location in Caen, and it was the best decision we made. The room and bathroom were a decent size, bed was very comfortable. The BEST was the staff, Maude, Aurelie, and Sarah - they were super friendly, accommodating, and so very helpful in every possible way, from assisting in riding the metro and subway to small room incidentals (thank you, Maude, for my slippers!) ???????????????? |We really liked that the monoprix (a general store) was right across the street, restaurants and eateries were within a 3 mile walking proximity, and this hotel had a parking garage for a fee. We really appreciated the unexpected conveniences we found in this hotel, from the utmost hospitality to the centrality of eateries (we recommend the Vaugeaux area, a 3 min walk, to find lively places to dine after dark!). We stayed here for 7 nights, took tours to Mont St Michel, D-Day Beaches, Bayeaux, Honfleur, Rouen and had a wonderful time experiencing Normandy!||A HUGE thank you to the manager, Marie Broussard - your staff and management of this Best Western is just the best! ????????????||We highly recommend this hotel in Caen!||TIP: If you have a car, we advise you reserve early to book a parking space in this hotel, as space is very limited. Spaces are tight and ceiling is low (best for compact cars). |Also, this area of Caen is a hub for college students due to university proximity. It can get noisy well into early morning.

très bien situé avec le parking qui n’est pas très loin. Le personnel est très très très sympa. Le petit-déj’ est copieux, il y a de tout en bonne quantité des jus d’orange, des jus de fruit, des pancakes, des petits pains au chocolat, des croissants etc. etc. Donc les avis que j’ai pu lire ou il y a des critiques sur le petit déjeuner, je pense que les gens un soi ne sont jamais vu dans cet hôtel soient deux ne mangent pas comme 99 % de la population tous les matins ;-).

petit point peut-être à revoir : le double vitrage, car parfois on peut entendre quelques énergumènes au soir…

Je recommande En tout cas, cet hôtel, hyper bien situé à cinq minutes à pied, même pas du tram
