We came to the gallery to find a painting and I took a photo of the painting I liked to discuss it with my family wether they like it and would like to have it at home. alAnd the guy abruptly said I shouldn't do it and talked to me like to a dog, clicking his tongue in disapproval like I peed on his porch. Me and my partner were shocked by this demeanor. There are different ways to communicate and that's not the appropriate one. On top of that, I'm an artist myself and I don't see the reason why would I be against somebody taking picture of my art, it's not like somebody gonna take phone photo and use it to commercially reproduce the painting by printing it in bad quality. When people take pictures of art, it's usually to promote or save the artist, not to violate them.
And also I don't think that he would talk like that to an adult man, but because I'm a relatively young lady, he treated me like a child/dog. Inappropriate. To avoid.
