This hotel is located very close to the city center and next to the river, allowing to have a nice walk alongside the river towards the city center. The staff was friendly and very forthcoming. Hints about some broken stuff (in our case the soap dispenser didn't work in the room) were promptly addressed and fixed. There is no dedicated parking, however the hotel offers a valet for 30€ for the night. This was alright, however when we got the car back, car settings were changed, seat position moved, mirrors changed. I wasn't happy with that. The room and bed was clean. I expected a bigger room, especially since I booked the superior room. I have been to other places in Strasbourg in the same price range having much larger rooms. The traditional hotel itself looks stunning - yet at the same time looks dated. Wallpapers with holes or broken sinks here and there. The building is asking for repairs...
The bar and lobby sits in the dark and doesn't give anyone the desire to enjoy a drink.

Situated in the heart of the city, the hotel is within walking distance of all major attractions. The area is not only picturesque but also exceptionally safe, making it an ideal location for exploring the city with ease.

Service:

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by two courteous and knowledgeable staff members who provided detailed information about the hotel and surrounding area, including excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast service team was equally attentive, ensuring a pleasant and well-catered dining experience. The level of service exceeded expectations, enhancing the overall stay.

My friend and I stayed at the Hotel Regent Contades to visit the lovely Christmas Markets in Strasbourg. The hotel was ideally located as we were able to walk to the markets or take the tram. The room was a perfect size for us and always clean. We were given a great recommendation for a restaurant and we went there twice.
