Zuerst das positive
- Lage so zentral wie es eben nur geht
- sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption
- Zimmer war mit Blick in den Innenhof der echt ruhig war. Also keine nächtlichen Ruhestörungen.
... und das ist eigentlich auch schon alles an positiven Punkte. Über die negativen Aspekte könnte man hinwegsehen, wäre der Preis faier gestaltet... aber dieser Preis für
- alte abgenutzte Zimmer
- schmutzige Zimmerwände
- viel kleinere Zimmer als auf booking.com dargestellt (Harry Potter hatte mehr Platz in seinem Kleiderschrank als wir in diesem Zimmer)
- Aufzug erst ab Etage 1
- Zimmertüren die sich nur mit Mühe versperren lassen
- den kleinsten Kleiderschrank den ich je gesehen habe (für 2 Personen!!!)
- unbequeme Betten
- sehr dünne Wände
- eine Bar die nie besetzt ist
Schwierig. Für den Preis dürfte man sich eigentlich mehr erwarten. So war das leider zumindest was das Hotel anging eine Enttäuschung für uns. Klar. Es war nicht so schlimm, dass es unzumutbar war und für 3 Nächte wo man nur zum Schlafen hier war gings. Dennoch für den Preis enttäuschend.
+) It’s a unique hotel right in front of the cathedral and I booked a room with a great view (and I‘d recommend to do so, since the rooms on the inside appear to only have windows pointed inside the hotel). The service was good, a big thank you to the receptionist Val that helped me with an easy check-in and lots of extra-infos.
-) Be aware that the building is a bit old and some may have a problem with that (I found it charming and clean, still). The hotel bar appeared to be closed (never saw anyone there) but there’s plenty of alternatives in the city in an easily walkable distance. The breakfast offered the basics, but not a lot more and the hotel itself has many corners and is a bit of a labyrinth, until one gets used to it.
All in all, it was a 4/5 hotel experience but the kind help of the receptionists really upgraded the situation!
