LE BOUCLIER D'OR

L’albergo è situato in una zona strategica per visitare la città all’interno della Perite France. Abbiamo alloggiato in una camera grande e spaziosa con vista, molto bella e silenziosa. La colazione è ben assortita e lo staff gentile e disponibile. Peccato per il bagno in camera con wc separato senza neanche un doccino, che potrebbe essere organizzato meglio.

Boutique hotel situato in pieno centro nella Petite France, in posizione poco affollata e silenziosa. Buono il servizio attento e gentile ,spaziose e confortevoli le camere, anche se manca un frigo bar e il bagno se pur spazioso, risulta scomodo. Buona la colazione.

Bonjour,||Je tiens à partager mon expérience récente au Bouclier d’Or à Strasbourg, où je suis venu avec ma femme et nos deux chiens. Nous avons été particulièrement déçus par les frais supplémentaires injustifiés qui ont marqué la fin de notre séjour.||Tout d’abord, nous avons été facturés 40€ par nuit pour nos deux chiens, ce qui nous a paru excessif. La situation a pris une tournure encore plus désagréable lorsqu’on nous a facturés 30€ pour une serviette soi-disant endommagée. Lors de notre départ, l’accueil était loin d’être professionnel. On nous a montré une photo de la serviette salie, sans toutefois fournir d’explications ni engager de discussion adéquate.||Nous avons tenté de discuter de cette situation et avons contacté le directeur, M. Thomas Boulet. Malheureusement, il est resté inflexible et a refusé de considérer notre demande de révision de ces frais supplémentaires. Ce qui est d’autant plus décevant, c’est que nous avons dépensé plus de 2500€ pour quatre nuits dans des chambres à 600€ la nuit.||De plus, nous avons dû attendre 30 minutes au téléphone pour obtenir une réponse de sa part. Malgré l’effort d’un membre du personnel, qui a essayé de faire comprendre la situation de manière logique, notre demande est restée sans réponse satisfaisante pendant une journée entière.||Je vous informe donc que, malheureusement, nous ne recommanderons plus cet hôtel à nos proches et amis, notamment ceux venant de Chambéry, tant que cette situation ne sera pas résolue de manière juste.||Cordialement,|M. Location can not be faulted. It's perfect walking distance to everything you wish to see as a tourist/visitor and petite France is so beautiful.
Service: a lot left to be desired and not in line with the price paid per night for our stay. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive 25 euros a head for adults and 15 euros a head for. 1.5 year old and a 3 year old. Was also charged €26 extra for a bottle of still water and 1 breakfast tea bag with a teaspoon of milk which we were told was on the house when we asked to have some tea and water replenished in our second and final night of our stay.
Hotel itself - it's ok- lacking in atmosphere and has an odd toilet poo smell throughout the bottom floor. The carpet and interior decor needs cleaning/upgrading.
Room- big and spacious but lacking in the basics and they are charging through the nose for it (see tea comment above) no fridge, no amenities you would expect for the price of the hotel.
Would I advise anyone else to stay here - absolutely not. There are many many better value options with friendlier staff around petit France location. Definitely not luxury, nor value for money.

This stay was the first for my sister and me in Strasbourg, and we are so glad to have chosen Le Bouclier d'Or Hotel for our home base in exploring the Christmas Markets of Alsace. First of all, it is absolutely charming--full of Alsatian architectural charm and tasteful appointments. The bar and breakfast areas are beautiful rooms in which to relax, but the highlight was our stunning bedroom, which was really a suite. We had originally anticipated a third sister joining us for this trip, so we reserved the big room at the top (#20) with a huge king bed and a separate single bed, as well as two bathrooms. It also has a spacious sitting area with a pull-out sofa and two large upholstered chairs. I have never stayed in such a huge hotel room in France! It was graced with dark wood beams along the sloping side wall, which added to the old-world charm of the room. (And the shower in the bigger bathroom was fantastic!) The hotel's situation in the Petite France area was lovely and quiet. Everyone from the front desk personnel to the bartender to the breakfast staff were warm and welcoming. While we had no time to explore the spa offerings, I cannot recommend the hotel proper more highly. Well done, Le Bouclier d'Or Hotel! I hope to able to stay again sometime.
