Super service, merci pour l’accueil au brunch de la fête des pères, c’était super bon !

Un des meilleurs coins de Strasbourg !

Bonne ambiance, personnel adorable et de super humeur (coucou à Juliette, Lud, Gus et Christian ????) et les tartes flambées sont su-per bonnes

J’ai découvert cet endroit en venant bosser mes exams et depuis j’y viens chaque soir quand je suis à stras !

Muy contenta con la estadía! Los puntos fuertes del hostel The People son: sus empleados, la ubicación y el buen ambiente.
Me ayudaron con todo lo que necesitaba y siempre con una buena actitud. Todo limpio, asequible, me encantó el diseño de las camas (tienes una cortina propia para privacidad, enchufe, luz propia, unas repisas muy prácticas). Hay jueguitos en el resta/bar y un patio cómodo.
Constructivo:
Las habitaciones compartidas podrían mejorar con AC u otro tipo de ventilación ya que la temperatura en la habitación de noche es alta. Aunque a mi personalmente no me molestó, varios de mis compañeros de cuarto sí se quejaron.
Recomiendo mucho este hostel!

Gros big up pour le service à la fête de la musique! La fille en caisse était vraiment très adorable avec un magnifique sourire.

The room was awful—surprisingly large, but unbearably hot. I was sweating just brushing my teeth in the morning. For a private room, it was overpriced compared to much better places I stayed across Europe. The staff were kind, but charging €4 for two croissants and tea felt cheap—it could’ve easily been included.

There was no real social atmosphere. It felt cliquey, with a big language barrier, very few international travelers, and tons of kids running around constantly. Sleep was nearly impossible, which was frustrating since this was supposed to be a relaxed part of my long trip where I could rest and catch up on work.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. The Wi-Fi barely worked, there was no desk in the room, and no option to work privately unless I sat in the bar. The bed was two uncomfortable twin mattresses pushed together—not a real queen. On top of the heat, it made sleeping even worse. Like 80* in my room according to my watch, and remained hot all night long. Honestly unbearable.

There was no kitchen, no laundry, and no fridge in my room—or at least none that I could find. The bar closes around midnight (earlier when I was there), and after that, the only common space is the outdoor seating. The place looks great when you first walk in, modern lobby, updated hallways, but the rooms fall way short.

The shower leaked everywhere due to terrible design, and they only gave me one towel. I actually slipped coming out of the shower, so definitely throw an extra towel on the floor to avoid getting hurt.

This place feels more like a poorly managed hotel than a hostel. It’s overrun with school kids and families, not ideal for solo travelers or anyone looking to meet people or enjoy a fun night out in Strasbourg. I genuinely would not recommend it. They have a ton of potential here, if they add an AC box in the rooms (mind you i have stayed in places in third world countries with in room AC for like $10 a night), make it easier to be more social and possibly add some coin operated laundry- it'd be a 10/10
