le serveur met plus de 10 secondes pour nous servir, déjà qu’il court partout et qu’ il fait au mieux pour le bien de ses autres clients. Heureusement que le caupostar est bon!

A hidden gem in Strasbourg. Most restaurants stopped serving food after 2pm, but we spotted this place. Mainly burgers but the real meaty ones. We had the chilli cheese burgers with chips and salad. Service very prompt and staff very friendly. The inside is very quirky lots of carved wood interior, slanty shelves and the design in the toilets very medieval look. Would definitely recommend a visit there.

Ein Restaurant, ohne gleich ohne Hoch Qualität aktives Essen mit mittelmäßigen Bürgern und un inspirierenden Frühstück ebenso nicht besonders preiswert. Und der Flammkuchen ist auf gar keinen Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

I chose this restaurant based on its reviews—and it did not disappoint.
The food had good flavour and satisfying portions, with a well-rounded menu featuring traditional Alsatian dishes.
Service was excellent as the waiter was patient and took the time to explain the menu.
The terrace setting was also lovely, offering an outdoor opportunity to enjoy the meal outdoors.

Wir wqren das erste Mal in Straßburg und hatten das Glück, die Taverne Caupona in der Grand Rue zu finden. Das Ambiente ist herrlich und das Team super sympatisch. So wurde das Caupona für uns zum täglichen Pflichtziel. Wir freuen u s auf unseren nächsten Urlaub in Straßburg und werden dann auch hieher wiederkommen.

Nous avons testé La Caupona à Strasbourg, où certains d’entre nous ont goûté pour la première fois à la cuisine alsacienne. En apéritif, nous avons partagé un flammekueche accompagné d’un verre de bière blonde. En plat principal, nous avons savouré une généreuse choucroute, accompagnée d’une bouteille de pinot gris recommandée par le serveur. Celui-ci s’est montré particulièrement aimable et attentionné tout au long du repas. Le cadre chaleureux — avec ses murs en briques apparentes que nous avons beaucoup appréciés —, l’ambiance conviviale et les saveurs authentiques de la région nous ont conquis. Nous sommes repartis enchantés, avec l’envie d’y revenir.

More a bar then restaurant. Loud music and dark ambience
The torte flambé was very good, but before I ate half of it was already cold (not their fault since the torte is slim and it was cold even inside)
But the burguer was horrible. Too well done, no taste, no salt. Felt like isopor. The tomate was green and the bread hard. Only thing that could be said is that the cheese was good, but had so little of it that was not enough to earn a second star. French fries were good though

I had their Veal cordon bleu, with the crumbed batter coating burnt to a crisp and the veal inside like dried out biltong, just less tasty. It was so over cooked it gave me heart burn. In their defence, their interior is so dark that their cook probably can't see what is going on in the kitchen. It was a truly horrible meal. Strasbourg has far better places to eat.

Malgré pas mal de bruit car beaucoup de monde et surtout le soir, nous avons passé un moment chaleureux ici. Les équipes sont sympathiques et on y mange bien (ce qui est le principal). Pour l'anniversaire d'une amie, ils nous ont même aidé à mettre des petites bougies sur son dessert. Le seul petit défaut que j'y donnerais serait

Au niveau de la cuisine et des boissons rien à dire, je recommande. Par contre au niveau du service… remarques hyper sexistes, serveur qui nous tutoie ok pourquoi pas, mais qui veut nous pousser à la consommation sur des cocktails sinon il ne se cache pas d’être déçu de nous, certaines personnes du groupe voulaient des softs car elles prennent le volant mais ce n’était « pas fun » et embêtant qu’on ne consomme pas plus. Vraiment trop de remarques déplacées de la part des serveurs sur les filles qui gâchent un peu l’expérience sinon il n’y avait rien à redire sur le reste, bel endroit … nous sommes tolérantes mais il y a des limites dans le rapport supériorité hommes/femmes..

Lightning fast service, incredible food and a very rustic yet welcoming intererior! The servers were super nice and tried helping us even though we couldn't speak french. The tarte flambée arrived quickly and was incredibly nice with a thin crust and rich toppings, but cheaper than most other tourist-y spots. Would visit again!

A must-eat spot in Strasbourg! The local dishes like choucroute and tarte flambée are super tasty and authentic ????????. The vibe is really nice and cozy ????️, perfect for big groups ????????. Prices are quite okay for the quality ????, and the staff are friendly and welcoming ????.

BUT — if you don’t speak French, good luck ???? No English menu and the staff don’t (want to) speak English… I had some difficulties with the waiter.

Still, worth it for the food and experience!

Je suis très mitigé, après avoir été le midi où tout a été parfait et y retourner le soir où ma commande est pas prise pendant 20 minutes mais que tout le monde a déjà passé commande je me demande qu’est-ce qui change ? Le serveur d’intérieur
