It’s a lovely place the staff is responsive. There is no elevator so if you’re tired or carrying packages, get ready for a climb up narrow and winding stairs. The room was more spacious than our other rooms so a big plus. And the bathroom was also very nice. If you have an early tour you have to rush through breakfast because the restaurant doesn’t open till 7. The location in town is excellent. You can walk to most places easily. I would stay here again.

Only went in for a cocktail, so this is areview of the bar. No service in the bar, you have to go to reception to request a drink. The gin and tonic was terrible, so please do not order that. It comes with their own tonic, which was probably tap water. Very sad for a 5* hotel.

Je n'ai pas séjourné sur place, mais seulement profité du restaurant dont la magnifique et créative table à sublimé mon séjour. Je redoutais que Bayeux se soit transformée en un vaste fast-food pour des tombereaux de touristes anglais, heureusement il reste encore des îlots de plaisirs pour la grande gastronomie. Merci.

Le lion d'or ha tutte le qualità per garantire un soggiorno più che confortevole. È in pieno centro, in due passi si arriva dappertutto. La stanza e il bagno sono forniti di tutto quello di cui l'ospite ha bisogno. Il servizio è attento e cordiale. La colazione è eccellente, per varietà e qualità. Il prezzo è all'altezza però vale la pena

This is a great hotel in a quiet town, close to Normandy (the tour will pick you up here)..lovely setting with excellent food and incredible service. Only caution, no elevator.
