Calçada is a beautiful guesthouse, full of character and charm. It is situated in the centre of Tavira close to all your needs. The welcome is lovely and you feel well looked after during your stay. It is a great place for co-working with good wifi and other lovely guests to spend time with. This is a fabulous place to stay in Tavira

My wife and I selected this charming guest house in Tavira to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and it was an absolute delight. We were genuinely impressed by the attention to detail and the warm reception we received from the proprietors, Andy and Tamsin. Their valuable recommendations for local sight and restaurants truly enhanced our stay. It's evident that they take great pride in what they provide, a rare find in today's hotel landscape.
Nestled in a picturesque corner of the historic old town, right next to the river, we were pleasantly surprised to find convenient street parking just a short walk from the bus station. We wouldn't hesitate to make a reservation here again in the future.

There was no one to answer the door which is poorly marked.
The narrow cobble stoned road is difficult to maneuver
Note: at best and to carry your luggage if you can find a parking place away from the premises.
Our room downstairs smelled.
Bathroom needs updating.
I cancelled my booking even though they will charge me fees for canceling.
Found a better hotel at about the same price or little higher.
Note: We booked this place based on reviews on line which I find are rather misleading.
Probably more suitable for young backpackers, as my wife puts it.

Great location, nice and central to the town but also a very quiet, peaceful setting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was large, perfectly clean and cool (the air conditioning was a bonus!), a great place to come back to for a rest or to escape the heat of the day. We enjoyed the upstairs terrace area where breakfast is served, and often sat there in the shade during the day, on the sun loungers, reading our books. It also had a small fridge up there for your cold drinks. The room was a good size, on the lower level, very clean, with a wet room shower. Everyday the staff came in and remade the bed, and took the towels and air dried them on the terrace before replacing them back - very eco friendly! Highly recommend this place

I had an amazing time stay here. The room is super comfortable. It is conveniently located by the bus stop and the main town center. It is also walking distance to the ferry dock to the beach. The staff was super helpful and friendly as well. I would love to stay here again if I come back to Tavira.

Unforgettable stay: beautiful design, exceptional service.

We had a wonderful time! The staff were extremely nice and let us use the space and facilities after checkout as we had a late flight.

It's a very beautiful space with a thoughtful design.

Spotless cleanliness and a rooftop oasis made it a perfect experience. Highly recommended!

Beautiful house with lots of space and everything you need. I stayed here for a coliving experience and made friends with lovely people. I loved my room with its huge windows and terrace and enjoyed every minute of my stay here. The hosts/owners of the guesthouse are super nice and helpful with everything you need. The house is absolutely clean and cozy. Wifi worked perfectly. Highly recommended.

I stayed with Tamsin and Andy the whole November 2022. They rent the guesthouse as a Coliving place in winter and it was my first ever Coliving experience. We were 4 Coliving partners in total and had an amazing time in Tavira. Great restaurants and music bars and Tamsin and Andy were always helpful with providing recommendations. The guesthouse is super well maintained and so cosy, that it really felt like being at home. Internet connection fast and steady. We never missed anything and some of us will be back very soon!

A beautiful relaxed place with super-helpful hosts and every attention to detail is excellent ! Loved the chill-out space on the roof terrace and the delicious breakfasts there (and maybe a glass of wine in the evening!). The rooms are very comfortable with an excellent standard of facilities including the en-suite bathroom. Location could not be better in the centre of old Tavira. Highly recommended.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Lage ist zentral, die Einrichtung gemütlich und funktional und Gastgeber und Mitarbeiter sind entspannt, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Mit dem angebotenen Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse hat man einen super Start in den Tag. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Really this is one of the best places I’ve ever stayed, everything was perfectly done and immaculate. Quiet rooms, good curtains to allow for sleeping in, lovely linen. The bed and en-suite are spacious and perfectly decorated. This matches the overall vibe and gorgeous decor PLUS the most fantastic roof terrace. Tamsin, Andy and Dillon were also incredibly welcoming and helpful. My only regret is not being able to stay longer is this fab area and incredible house. 10/10
