LES P'TITES ASSIETTES

The best thing about the Hotel Le Mulberry is its location at the small, coastal town of Arromanches-Les-Bains. We stayed here for three nights in order to explore the five D-Day beaches and the surrounding WWII sites. Arromanches served us very well as a base as it's centrally located between all of the main WWII sites.|The hotel is a very short walk from the centre of town and the beach (3 - 5 minutes only). |On arrival we went straight down to see the remains of the Mulberry Harbour and Gold Beach. The following day, we drove to Utah and Omaha Beaches, Sainte Mère Eglise and Longues-Sur-Mer. On our last day, we went in the opposite direction to Juno and Sword Beaches and Pegasus Bridge.|The room itself was very basic and very small. Wifi was fine but there were few other facilities. Nevertheless, it was clean, cheap and cheerful. To expect much more at the price would be unreasonable. |What we really noticed was how friendly and helpful the staff were. They always greeted us as we came and went and when I asked where to find a laundromat, they very kindly offered to do the washing for us. |There is also a pizza restaurant and a bar downstairs (but we could easily walk into town for dinner as well).|Although there is no allocated car park, we were able to get street parking every day at the back of the hotel, outside the church. |Often the much larger towns like Bayeaux or Caen are recommended as a base for those looking to visit the D-Day sites. However we were really pleased we chose Arromanches. We enjoyed coming back here at the end of each day and strolling along the beach before dinner, watching the sunset.

Oui il est bien pas trop loin de l'office de touriste. J ai eu un peu froid la nuit. Le condensateur semble pas être très efficace .

Nous étions 3 à manger.On arrive,on nous laisse nous installer et après on nous dit qu'il n'y a que des pizzas...Le Spritz n'a que le nom..les pizzas n'ont pas de goût et en plus la pâte n'était pas cuite.

Hôtel à quelques minutes de la mer et du musée du débarquement. Chambre simple et correcte.

DU FOUTAGE DE GUEULE POUR LE PRIX !!!! Chambre familiale loin d'être propre, odeur d'humidité, la déco laisse vraiment à désirer, la peinture a été faite sur un coup de colère car le résultat est folklo !!!!! Ne parlons pas du petit déjeuner, nous avons eu tous les restes du restaurant de la veille ou de l'avant veille à savoir tarte au flan, tarte aux pommes, cake au jambon, rien à voir avec le petit déjeuner ....et les quelques croissants présents tout juste cuits !!!!! Et pourtant nous ne sommes pas difficiles. Une chose est sûre, nous n'y retournerons certainement pas..... quel dommage car l'emplacement était parfait, à 2 mn à pieds du musée du débarquement et de la plage ....
