I am incredibly tired from traveling, but turns out there is a concert right outside the hotel window until 11 in the evening on a Sunday. Reception failed to inform me at check in, if so I would have tried to nap in the afternoon. Neither could they offer a different room, or a spare mattress so I could sleep in the bathroom where there was a little less noise. I came here for work, and this will completely ruin tonight and tomorrow.
Update: reception told me Sunday was the last day for the concert, it was not. I had this noise at my windows for my entire stay, even on a Tuesday it went on until 23:15. If the reception was honest on Sunday, I would have cancelled my stay.
The hotel did not offer anything at all, not a different room, no discount. Zero.

- immediately adjacent to the Santa Justa Lift
- steps to historical sites, shops and food
Room - 8 / 10
- room # 20 is perfectly situated next to the common washrooms which are not well ventilated
- strong air conditioning, but control settings are limited
- since the hotel is adjacent to a historic landmark, it was noisy (even after 10 pm sometimes) due to street performances and other activity right outside

Fantastic little hotel. Very clean and always smells nice. Staff was very acommodating, location superb. Good breakfast. The only drawback is the bathrooms. The rooms are overall great, spotless and pretty, but the bathrooms are not private. And I mean, at all ???? No proper door, just a slide door made out of milk glass, so you can hear and see everything, unless you open the window to the busy street, which is what we have been doing. Other than that, highly recommended.
Shower is see thru, you can see the person showing from outside the bathroom. No lock. No toilet paper replacement. The water they put by the bed is from the tap not sealed.
