Spectacular hotel. Rooms are beautiful, the location overlooks a vibrant city square in the center of town. Rooftop bar and restaurant are rated top 5 of Lisbon in multiple publications and both were delicious with water views of the city and the iconic bridge. We cannot emphasize the SERVICE and thoughtful details enough. I’ve traveled abundantly and never experienced such caring service. If we could give Bairro Alto Hotel 6 stars, we would. If you’re traveling to Lisbon, do not miss this place.

Couldn't be a better hotel in Lisbon! The staff were lovely, helpful, went over and beyond. The rooms were beautifully designed with local influences and great efforts were made to ensure the room was quiet due to its bustling location...and the location was perfect. The hotel is in Old Town. You're walking distance to everything. The views from the roof are gorgeous. BAHR restaurant is a must visit.

Our flights to Lisbon were cancelled day of due to a Lufthansa airline strike. We immediately called the hotel to cancel our reservation and missed the cancellation deadline by less than ONE hour. Given the circumstances, we hoped for some flexibility or understanding from the hotel, especially considering the situation was out of our control. It was disheartening to find that they were unwilling to work with us or cancel the second day. This experience has left us incredibly disappointed with the overall service provided, and now will no longer recommend this hotel to others.

Well appointed, quiet, and comfortable rooms. The hotel restaurant and bar are excellent. The rooftop bar is outstanding. The hotel staff are professional and customer service oriented. An excellent hotel in Lisbon.

Great luxury hotel in the heart of Lisbon. Stayed there 4 days and only complain would be they did not change the breakfast menu and I think it was quite limited for a luxury hotel.

L’hôtel Bairo Alto cache un vrai trésor : son salon de thé. Après avoir passé commande au rez-de-chaussée de l’établissement, vous vous rendez au premier étage dans un vaste salon très cozy où l’on vous apporte vos boissons et pâtisseries quelques minutes plus tard. J’ai pris un Pasteis de Nata, spécialité typiquement portugaise accompagné d’un chocolat chaud (l’un des meilleurs de ma vie) pour la modique somme de 5€. Rapport qualité/prix exceptionnel, endroit merveilleux.

Wow. Wonderful hotel. We got the Tejo Suite which connects to a Standard Tejo room so we can have a family suite. Great for kids and parents. Service is amazing. Breakfast is fantastic.

Bairro Alto is potentially one of the best hotels in Lisbon. Amazing benefit of the hotel is their breakfast/dinner on the terrace with a spectacular view. The experience left us thoroughly impressed.

The service was also top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed, adding a warm touch to the whole experience.

I went there just for breakfast. It’s a la carte system and you can order whatever you want. Staff was super attentive and helped with suggestions. Food was delicious. It has a great view from the city although the weather conditions were terrible when I was there so I couldn’t see much. My breakfast was 20 euro which can be considered pricey for Lisbon standards, but it’s worth it for the experience if you want a quiet and welcoming place to go to start your day in the right mood.

The staff are simply amazing from the front desk, bell captain to all the restaurant and bar staff. A welcoming, authentic atmosphere, competence and dedication to the house and guests.

This hotel is located at the heart of Lisbon.
There are lots of things to see within walking distance.
There are performers playing music on the weekend right across from the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel rooftop restaurant (Barha) is fantastic. The veiw is beautiful, the food is great. It makes your day so much better after having their detox juice and cappuccino.

Ce Bel hôtel de charme est situé en plein cœur du centre ville. Le service est parfait. La chambre est un peu petite mais bien équipée. La literie est confortable. Il possède une belle terrasse sur les toits avec une vue magnifique sur Lisbonne. Le petit déjeuner est très bien.

Hôtel qui ne mérite pas son 5 étoiles : service à la tête du client (fonctionnement aux pourboires à outrance ?)
Chambres propres mais petites et vieillissantes malgré une rénovation relativement récente...
Et pour couronner le tout, des travaux partout autour de l'hôtel qui vous obligent à être très matinal.
2 points positifs : la situation géographique, en plein centre ville, aux abords du Bairro Alto (quartier vivant le soir : restaurants, bars, boîtes)
Et la vue splendide du roof top bar ! Le Tage, les ponts et le Cristo Rei en point de vue... Les cocktails y sont très bons, ainsi que les limonades maison.
