The top of Graca! Fantastic views of Lisbon if you get a city view room. Clean smallish rooms with a 70s vibe. Quiet!

This is all about the view, which is in fact the best view you are going to get from a hotel in Lisbon, Senhora De Monte is the highest point in the city. If you are going down this path, I would suggest don't just settle for a room with a view, go for a room with a balcony. rooms 15,25,25,45 will fit that end if you want to experience a great sunset with a bottle of wine and some music. Forget the four rooms with terrace. They are on the bottom floor, pricier and unless there are more than two of you, you really don't need them. The rooms are OK. A bit dated, but not terribly so. Bathroom is nice. To get around, the walk down is fine. The most direct way down are the Escadinhas Damasceno Monteiro steps. Coming back up, you may want to take a taxi or Uber. I read some of the negative reviews. The usual anal bunch that inhabit the one star space. The staff was very friendly. They chilled a bottle of Champaign for us in their fridge. The place was quiet. I got a good sleep. All in all, a very nice experience.

Breathtaking view of the whole city. Great location near the top of the hill, looking down to the bay and city. Nice clean rooms, tidy bathrooms and comfortable atmosphere. Totally OK hotel. We stayed 4 days, no trouble at all, all positives.
