Rich, dramatic, theatrical, The Toren, situated in a historic double-fronted mansion on one of Amsterdam’s most prestigious canals, provides the right mix of old world chic and cool contemporary creature comforts. Black velvet, Venetian mirrors, gilded panelling is mixed with flat screen TVs, iPod players and personal jacuzzis.

Absolutely phenomenal. Service from the check-in staff was great, with a warm introduction and we were walked to our room.

The room itself was excellent - very comfortable, fantastically furnished, an extremely comfortable bed, and a gigantic bathroom. It was very dark and absolutely silent - we slept in and almost missed check-out as we were so comfortable!

Very cute place. Rooms are cute and clean. Staff were very friendly. Good location. Fair prices. Bar inside. I thought this would be a quite and romantic spot due to location and reviews but that was not the case. There was a party above us that blared the same music on repeat until roughly 5 am. The staff informed us they cannot control the guests. It was a rough night. Nothing romantic about it.
