What delightful find! It is a little haven of warmth and colour on the edge of the Bo Kaap. Johan and his staff are so welcoming. The decor is fun and interesting. And all within walking distance of the Waterkant and the Cape Town CBD. Breakfast was fun and entertaining. We shall definitely be back. We loved it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at La Rose, and it will be our accommodation of choice for our next visit to Cape Town.
The en suite rooms themselves are functionally adequate with everything one needs for a comfortable night’s sleep with respect to air con, hot water for bathing, comfortable bed, etc.
But La Rose stands head and shoulders above most hotels and B&Bs because of the welcoming environment Yoann personally provides, which helps to catalyze instant rapport with other guests at the breakfast table. Within 5 minutes during the very first breakfast, it was like being surrounded by family and friends. And the food is delicious, too. And everything made from scratch - yoghurt, breads, jams, delicious eggs to order, etc.
And then there’s the location in the trendy Bo’kaap district, within easy and safe walking distance from numerous restaurants, museums, coffee shops, etc.

This is the friendliest place to stay at Bo-Kaap. I’m a regular guest at B&Bs in this part of Cape Town, and my experiences have varied. The executive studio at La Rose is the best room if you’re looking for lots of space and privacy. Rose St still has a few trouble spots after dark, but walking around in the day time is very safe.

Chambre et emplacement très jolie. Proche de la ville sans être dans le rush du centre.
Vous serez accueilli pas Johan qui gère les lieux, très aimable et fort sympathique.
Nous avons passer 4 nuits dans cette chambre, le petit déjeuner etait top avec un super choix de plat oeuf, omelette fait maison!
4 étoiles car nous avons trouver les isolations très fine et du coup la chambre très bruyante de même que la luminosité dans la chambre.
Rien de bien grave nous avons mis des bouchons dans les oreilles et masques sur les yeux.
Quoi qu’il en soit je recommande vivement cette chambre!
