GRAND JULES - BOAT HOTEL

Great location but very tired inside. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. Clean but, we had one damaged bunk which was potentially dangerous. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Picked the Grand Jules Hotel for the experience of staying on a boat on the Danube and also the proximity and the view of the Parliament at night and neither have disappointed me.
Started by booking 2 nights but ended up by starting 4.
The experience is great, the conditions great as well of you don't forget you've opted for staying on a boat and not the Titanic.
All personel of the hotel are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is sufficiently diverse and tasty so I recommend going for the breakfast included package.
I've booked a double room with city view (the river view was not available) but the noise some were complaining about from the dock side is not true. The noise in fact is of the tram passing on the nearby bridge which is inevitable regardless of the side of the rooms, but it's not something one cannot overcome in my opinion.
If there's something slightly negative to mention is that the rooms are not that will sound proofed and noisy clients can bother other clients trying to rest. But again, this is says something about some people, not the hotel or staff.
We've had a great time staying here and getting to see the beauty of Budapest, so I encourage you to experience this.

Unusual and good experience sleeping on the boat hotel on Danube River, on Budapest shoreside. Clean and confy. Parking on a public strip of the road outside. Well connected to the city centre by public transport. Great view over the Parliament and bridges from the cabin window. Reception staff very nice and helpful.

Alloggio insolito, ma ottimo per posizione e servizio. La sua posizione permette di raggiungere tutti i punti della città facilmente sia a piedi che con i mezzi pubblici. La nave è un po' datata ma comunque tutto pulito e il personale si è dimostrato davvero super gentile e disponibile ad ogni nostra richiesta. Le camere sono piccole, ma è presente tutto l'essenziale. La vista spettacolare, soprattutto la sera quando dal letto puoi godere del parlamento illuminato dall'altra parte della sponda.
La colazione ottima, completa in tutte le proposte, dolce e salato. E il personale attento a non fare mancare mai nulla.
È stato un piacere alloggiare da voi.
