We ordered the 6 course tasting menue. (1x May17 - 1x Hungarian). The first courses were amazing, the Crab dish had shell pieces inside of the meet, from there on the dishes became a bit unusual and tasted off and very acidy. The duck and rib eye meets were great, the side dishes not so much and almost indefinable. The bread pudding dessert was very salty. Overall a good restaurant, maybe just today a bit off.

We ordered a five-course Portuguese meal. Every dish was delicious and was a series of surprising and inspiring experiences. We could tell that a lot of attention had been paid to details such as seasoning, presentation and the temperature of the plates. We tried the non-alcoholic pairings and all the drinks matched the food and were truly delicious. The waitstaff all treated us with a good sense of distance and we were able to settle in for our meal. We would return here again.

We have been to a few Michelin restaurants across Europe (specially Portugal) and I have to say Tiago is one of a kind.
We had one Portuguese tasting menu and one Hungarian so we could taste both and they were both equally amazing! One point I need to highlight is Tiago's skills in making sauces, all of the dishes had some of the most amazing sauces we ever had, that perfectly blended with the dish, very well balanced. So far the best Portuguese Chef I have tasted!

Absolutely phenomenal and soectecular place....the cuisine was outstanding, the flavors fantastic and the service just wonderful. We enjoyed every single course of our multi-course dinner.
Every dish was great. The Portuguese flavors shone through.

They have an amazing wine list and knowledgeable staff to advise. Excellent sparkling, whites, red and sweet wine, all local were outstanding.

I will for sure be back.

Habituée des restaurants étoilés j’ai tout aimé chez Essencia : cuisine fraîche inventive, délicieuse et qui se digère avec une facilité déconcertante ????????
Le service est particulièrement affable et l’ambiance jolie cosy nordique.
Si je reviens à Budapest je retournerai à Essencia ????????
